ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, DECEMBER 20TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Sangria Day which celebrates a refreshingly fruity drink that is the perfect cure for your winter blues. There are thousands of variations of sangria that combine such ingredients as sliced fruit, honey, sugar, juice, carbonated soda, red or white wine, and other alcohols. Each combination changes the flavor, alcohol content and carbonation of the sangria.
Sangria is a popular drink at bars, pubs, ;and restaurants in Portugal, Spain and Mexico and at tapas restaurants in the United States.
Once mixed, sangria should be chilled and the fruits allowed to marinate for a few hours or overnight. When making sangria, if you use 100% juice, you’ll gain the maximum benefits too. Eating the fruit versus all the sweet cakes and pies over the holidays will be healthier.
To celebrate share your favorite this holiday season .

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Christmas is, of course, the time to be home - in the heart as well as body.
Gary Moore
The thoughts of a refreshing fruity drink sounds pretty good to me right now. We all need that extra vitamin C in the wintertime.
But I don’t have the ingredients on hand so perhaps I’ll snuggle up with a hot cup of apple cider instead.
It’s my day to stay home and rest and relax. I’m continuing to watch church services on line. Our numbers are still disturbing enough to keep me from going out much. It used to be the only thing that would keep me at home was the weather, but things sure have changed.
Everything here is ready for Christmas and I’m just going to sit back and enjoy watching the tree lights.
It’s the 4th Sunday of Advent and next week is Christmas week.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

PRAYER REQUEST
DSIL’S Mom has had to go back in the hospital as she’s not doing well at all with the Covoid 19 virus. Please pray for her that she’ll recover from this. She has breathing issues and has declined to be put on a vent. They are doing what they can to make her breathing easier.
May the dear Lord bless her with healing and good health in the days to come.
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!

Be of good cheer. Christmas is almost here!
So sorry you have loved ones that are ill. I stay home as well for my own safety and that of my family and friends. I have your posts and those of all my blogger friends and a warm little house, my phone and computer, so I am patient and grateful. Everyone please stay well!!!
I, too, am feeling less inclined to be 'out and about.'
I hate what this virus has done -- not only to those who've become infected, but how it's making me afraid to spend time with those I love. Praying!
We like Sangria when it is hot outside. It is a refreshing drink. Again, praying for DSIL's mom.

No going out for me either, but I'm lucky to live in Florida where we can still gather outside for the holidays. I can't believe it's already Christmas week!
