ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
Tuesday, March 15, 2022
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!

Today is the Ides of March which is the name of the 15th day of March in the Roman calendar. In modern times, the term ides of March is best known as the date on which Julius Caesar was assonated in 44 BC.
Ceasar was stabbed 23 times to death in the Roman Senate by a group of conspirators led by Marcus Janus Brutus and Gaiius Cassius Longinus. His death marks a turning point in Roman History.
Some Romans celebrate the Ides of March as a new year celebration. In Canada, the day's celebrated with drinking Bloody Ceasars.
To celebrate today, think of it as a turning point in your life and begin something new.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Beware the ides of March.
William Shakespear
As far as I’m concerned, every day is a new day and a chance to begin agin . Yesterday is gone and tomorrow hasn’t come so we should celebrate today.
Making the most of every day is something I've always tried to do, my most isn’t what it used to be, but I’m still going forward. I only move slower than I used to do but still can do most things. It just takes me a lot longer.
Our warmer weather is still with us today and going through to next week only with temps in the 50’s and 40’s. At least it’s not going down below freezing in the foreseeable future.
It’s a great day here to get out and pick up some sticks. I have my handy cart to take along with me to put them in. I get a lot of sticks and branches that are blown out of the oak tree here in the winter. But I’ll probably need some help to get it all done. Last couple of years DD and her family helped me do it and that is what is in the pictures today.
It is wet out in the yard and I’ll be putting my muck boots on to along with some gardening gloves. I have to break up the sticks and put them in brown paper bags to set out by the curb. And there are still plenty of leaves to clear from last fall too. This is a job that will take more than one day. It’s going to feel good to get outside again. They say we may have some showers too so we’ll see how far I get.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

10,064.for lots of brown paper bags to bag up all the sticks and leaves
10,065. for some help which will surely come my way

they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

It's going to be a great day to get outside !
That's a great little cart, Ma! We, too, seem to accumulate lots of little branches/twigs; I hate to risk running the lawn mower over them. Then there's the weeds that multiply like bunny rabbits overnight. I don't mind gathering and disposing, but 24 hours later my back lets me know it's not a happy camper.
Enjoy the fresh air!
I like to think of each day being the beginning, nice. I wasn't thinking of Caesar today, so it was the Ids of March. Definitely a big day in History, I do like the reminder.
We are under weather warnings here, tornadoes in the area.
You be safe,
