ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
THURSDAY, MARCH 17TH, 2022
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is:St. Patrick’s Day which honors St. Patrick and has been celebrated for over 1,000 years. St. Patrick was born and raised a Roman Britain during the 5th century. At the age of 16 he was captured and sold a slave to an Irish sheep farmer, but he managed to escape. He spent several years in a monastery before returning to Ireland as a Christian Missionary. Today he is hailed as patron saint and national apostle of Ireland.
Over the years, St. Patrick’s Day has evolved from a religious observance to a worldwide celebration of Irish Culture. In Ireland, men wear shamrocks on their jackets and caps, and women wear green ribbons in their hair.
Whether you have Irish ancestors or not, wear something green today in honor of this famous holiday.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Being Irish is very much a part of who I am. I take it every where with me.
Colin Farrell
I have a little bit of the Irish in me and I’m wearing the green today and will definitely be celebrating by eating my delicious corned beef and cabbage. I have a few shamrocks decorating my house today and even a lucky coin or two to give away.
We are to be way above normal today and close to 70 degrees. I got my shopping and errands ran yesterday so I really have no reason to get out and about but will try at least to get outside for a while. If nothing else, I’ll spend some time out on the sunporch.
They say that this warm weather will not last and and we’ll be back in the more normal 50’s by the weekend and ,most of next week.
For today I’m going to be switching out the winter clothing for the Spring things. I won’t be needing all of that heavy clothing, and will switch to short sleeves and sweaters. If it’s chilly I’ll just layer up It always seems that this time of year brings less laundry too. Lighter clothing takes up less space in the washer.
I love the pastel colors of Spring too and they make me happy.
It’s going to take awhile for me to accomplish this so by the time I get done warmer weather will be here to stay.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Christ beside me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ within me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
May luck be our companions
May friends stand by our side
May history remind us all
Of Ireland’s faith and pride.
May God bless us with happiness
May love and faith abide.
Irish Blessing
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

YES! today we are all a little Irish (if not a lot). We just arrived at this RV park, They have a 'ST. Patty's day dinner' this evening, Sherry signed us up. Not my cup of tea because of my hearing, but I hate to be a stick in the mud.
Anyway We are hoping you have a great day.

We are so looking for Spring. We are Irish, when I was teaching, all students were assigned Irish names, we learned Ireland up right.
Gosh, 70* for y'all is quite an abrupt change! That's actually warmer than us! I hope you're able to enjoy that cheery sunroom before Mother Nature changes her mind. (Again!)
I'd not read that quote by St. Patrick, but love the thought. Like the Prayer for Protection we used to recite, 'wherever we are, God is.'
