ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR FRIDAY, JANUARY 8TH, 2021
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Bubble Bath Day which is a day to enjoy a nice warm bath. People have been enjoying warm baths for thousands of years. In Ancient Rome, bathing was done at a public facility for most citizens. A trip to the Roman baths might include a dip in the calderium, a hot tub, a brief break in the Laconicum, a sauna, and a refreshing swim in the frigidarium, a cold pool.
Up until the late 1940’s, the average American bathed once a week for personal hygiene. Today a daily shower is standard, but it’s important to indulges in a luxurious soak every once in a while. A bubble bath can help open up your pores, cleanse your skin, and relax muscles.
Pick up a bottle of your favorite bubble bath product and fill your tub tonight to celebrate Bubble Bath Day. You can even create a calming spa atmosphere with background music, candles and a towel to cushion your neck. Enjoy!
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Happiness is taking long hot bubble bath.

There is nothing like a good hot bubllle bath to relax and warm you up. I use the shower most days, but do enjoy a soak in the tub now and then. It is very relaxing. Especially when you’ve been working hard and your muscles are sore. I’m glad to have the option of either one. I’ve never been in a sauna, but that sounds good too.
My doctors appointment turned out well yesterday, He is still pleased with how I’m doing and I don’t have to go back for another 3 months. I actually lost another 2 pounds, making a total of 12 pounds now since I started eating healthier back in July. That was a pleasant surprise. He renewed my medications and told me I was doing fine.
On my menu today is:
The Ultimate Grilled Cheese
Makes 1 sandwich
1/2 oz. less fat cream cheese
1 tsp. canola mayonaise
1 oz reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese
2 slices whole grain bread
1/2 tsp olive oil
Combine cream cheese and mayo. Add shredded cheese. Spread between 2 slices of bread. Heat a skillet over medium heat, sear each side in 1/4 tsp. olive oil until bread is browned and crisp.
This mixture melts into a gloriously silk, ultra cheesy filling. This is not my normal grilled cheese, but I think it sounds delicious and am willing to try a healthier alternative.
I have some leftover soup that will go wiell with this. Good for another cold winter day.
The pictures today are of my bathroom, which I call my beach room since I decorated it with all things beauty, and I have a good selection of beach towels too.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won’t cure, but I don’t know many of them.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

8803.for a good report from the doctor
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
We start to realize that there are anodynes in life that help us through the day. I don’t care if it’s a walk in he park, a look out the window, a good bubble bath, whatever. Even a meal you like or a friend you want to call. That helps us solve all this stuff in our head.
Al Pacino
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Scrub your troubles away with bubbles.
I'm so glad to hear all went well at the doc. Congrats on the 12 pounds! I love your beautiful beachy bathroom. Enjoy that ultimate grilled cheese today! Have a great weekend :)
Congratulations on the good doctor's visit!
I don't think I've indulged in a tub bath in years. Because I've really dry skin, I used to put a little baby oil in the tub as it was filling. Gotta be REAL CAREFUL getting out, but how it makes my skin feel silky smooth, like I'd just had a professional massage.
Great Ma that the doctor's visit went well and you lost another 2 pounds!! Pat yourself on the back for the healthy eating you are doing :)
