ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, JANUARY 17TH, 2021
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!

Today is Kid Inventors’ Day. which celebrates the creativity and ingenuity of young people all around the world. Kids have invented all sorts of things that we use in our everyday lives including earmuffs, popsicles, trampolines, Braille, and even the television. The earliest kid inventor was Benjamin Franklin. He invented swim flippers at the age of 12.
Many school systems hold an annual invention convention to encourage students to come up with creative solutions to the problems they find in their own environment . The prize winners sometimes go on to receive US patients for their work.
To celebrate today, encourage the kids in your life to be young inventors.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Imagination is everything, it is the preview of life’s coming attractions.
Albert Eistein
Kids are very creative and often make their own fun. All it takes is a box in most cases. They can be made into anything they want. It’s good to encourage them to use their imagination. They have no fear of failure and only keep on going. I could only wish I could have half of their creativeness. What one doesn’t think of, the other can.
I see it everyday in the pictures I get of my grandchildren and that’s what I’m sharing today, pictures of some of my brilliant grand children. They are all unique and wonderful.
It’s Sunday once more and my day to rest and relax. I’m staying in and Keeping warm and safe. Our church streams church services so there is no need to go out, but I do miss being there in person. My dinner is in the fridge ready to heat up so there is no reason I even have to cook.
I’ll be putting my feet up and hopefully will find another good book to read. The news is full of the football game that will be held today, so maybe I’ll tune that in for a while to see how it’s going. I’m rooting for the Browns, our favorites here in Ohio. They seem to making a wonderful come back this year and now we’ll see how long they can keep their winning streak going.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday

Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Kids are very imaginative and creative !
Children's creativity never ceases to amaze me. I suspect that's because no-one told them, "You can't."
Your afternoon sounds like a winner. Think I'll do the same!
Your grands are all so adorable! It will be football for us here today too. Go Browns! :)
