ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, JANUARY 3RD, 2021
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is NATIONAL Chocolate Covered Cherry Day which honors a sweet holiday confectionary classic, chocolate covered cherries. Chocolate cover cherries are a delicious candy that are enjoyed year round, but one especially popular during the Holiday Months.
Chocolate covered cherries can be made in a variety of ways. A popular variety is a cherry cordial, which is often filled with a cherry liquor filling. Other varieties include the simple and traditional cherry dipped in chocolate. Whatever you fancy, support your local candy store and order some chocolate covered cherries!

These wonderful chocolate covered cherries are a Christmas tradition here at my house. My mom was the one who started it and usually gave us a box every Christmas. This year I bought a box for myself and then DD and her family also gave me a box from our local candy store, for a present too. So I’ve had had plenty to enjoy. I’ve tried to spread out eating them only having one or two per day.
Cella’s is usually my favorite kind from the store. But the ones DD gave me are a much better quality of chocolate. Smooth and rich. Chocolate is always good but there is definitely a difference in the quality of chocolates. The others are not bad at all, just not as good.
I just shared the pictures today on Chocolate Covered Anything Day, but here they are again - my Cella chocolate covered cherries.
It’s another Sunday at home for me. I’ll be watching church services on line and since there is really no reason to go out, I’m staying in where it’s warm and cozy. These days it’s my favorite place to be. I’ve got all I need and more, so I won’t complain at all.
I tried out the air fryer yesterday and did some frozen french fries so I could see how it works.
It works just fine. I’ll no longer be frying anything, but using this instead.
Thanks again to my family for this gift for Christmas ! My family are the best and always make their mama happy.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday !

We always got a few boxes of chocolate covered cherries every Christmas season. This year we just bought one and I noticed there were less in the box than years before :) We have a local candy store, Ceretta's, which we frequent at times. We got a box of cordial cherries from them and you are right, there is a difference in the quality of chocolate. Those were so much better and smoother tasting :) A treat to get candy from there!
Glad you tried out the air fryer and it was a success with the french fries!
betty
That sure looks yummy! You've such a thoughtful daughter. :)
My mom always loved those cherry candy too, always got her a box or two at Christmas. I've never been a big fan of them myself. I'm glad you like the air fryer so far. Have a lovely Sunday!
