ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
WEDNESSDAY, AUGUST 25TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Kiss and Make Up Day which is an opportunity to end a spat and become friends again. No matter what it affects and why, it’s time to kiss and make up.
Studies show that people who forgive are happier and healthier than those that hold resentments. Kiss and Make Up Day is not a day for discussions and talk the struggles and problems over.
The kiss proves that we like the other one and we are willing to let it be for the sake of our friendship. Kiss and Make Up day concerns friends, lovers and families and literally everybody. Making up is such a nice thing to do leaving all the troubles behind and have a great time.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Forgiveness is a funny thing. It warms the heart and cools the sting.
William Arthur Ward
Forgiveness is truly a gift we give ourselves. Life is to short to hang on to anger and resentment . When we forgive someone, we let go of whatever is holding us back from loving them.
I don’t hold grudges and have forgiven a lot in my life time. I don’t want to hold on to any anger or grudges. It’s such a good feeling just to love everyone.
We have to forgive summer this week as we’ve been having some very hot and humid weather. I know it won’t last, because nothing ever stays the same. So I’m just going to try and enjoy the last blast of summer.
Today will be my day to go shopping. I have an air conditioned house and car and will go to an air conditioned store, so it won’t be bad at all. The only hot part will be the loading and unloading. But thanks to having a covered car port, at least I’ll be in the shade and also out of the rain. We have a chance of scattered showers today.
I’ve once again made up a menu for the coming week so I could do my shopping and here it is:
Monday- Fresh Corn and Tomato Fettuccini
Wednesday -Tropical Chicken Cauliflower Rice Bowls
Friday- Shrimp and Spinach Salad with Hot Bacon Dressing
Weelemd - Grilled Hawaiian Pork Chops
On the menu for today is:
Broccoli Chicken Casserole
Makes 6 servings
1 package chicken stuffing mix
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 cup frozen broccoli florets, thawed
1 can broccoll cheese soup, undiluted
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions using only 1 1/2 cups of water.
In large bowl combine chicken, broccoli and soup.; transfer to a greased 11 by 7 baking dish. Top with stuffing, sprinkle with cheese. Bake covered 20 minutes. Uncover, bake until heated through 10 to 15 minute more.
You could substitute ham or turkey for the chicken if you want. I prefer chicken with my stuffing.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
It’s one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive, Forgive everybody.
Maya Angelou
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

9475. for air conditioning, I keep cool
9476, for a little rain this morning
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!

Forgiveness is a gift
Forgiveness is such a tough thing; I'm glad you've moved on! Another of my blog friends' Bible study group is presently doing one called, "Forgiving what you can't Forget." I may suggest that for our next study.
Please keep inside as best you're able! Only last week a rising star of our local football team died from heat stroke.
