ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
TUESDAY, AUGUST 31ST, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Happy Birthday to you♥
Today is also Eat Outside Day which celebrates the last day of August and makes this a very timely celebration. It’s the perfect opportunity to take your breakfast, lunch or dinner into the great outdoors. and enjoy the last few days of warmer summer weather.
Al fresco dining first became popular in the 18th century. Patrons who enjoyed eating their meals in the open would visit tea gardens, seashore resorts, or rooftop restaurants. Eating outside was considered a tourist activity up until the early 1900’s. Around that time, the first sidewalk cafes appeared on the streets of Manhatten.
There are many ways you can participate today. Eat at your favorite outdoor restaurant, enjoy a popsicle on your porch, organize a small barbecue in your backyard, or have a picnic at a local park. Whetever you decide to to, just be sure to spend some time outside.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
There are few thing so plaasant as a picnic eaten in perfect comfort.
William Somerset Maugham
I’ll be eating my meals on the porch today and enjoying the beautiful summer weather we are having. After the hot and humid days of last week, it has cooled off here and is to be in the 70’s and sunny with no chance of rain most of the week. It; a welcome change for us.
I’’ll be celebrating with this grandson today at a small family celebration. I have his card all made out and ready to give him in person.filled with birthday wishes and love.
The pictures today are from his party last year which was also a small party due to the virus.
This is the last day of August and tomorrow is September 1st,which is when I’ll start decorating for fall. It’ll still look like summer outside but inside it’ll begin to look like fall. I’m thankful at least it is some cooler and not terribly hot outside.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.

It's so nice to have a birthday I can actually celebrate in person.
Happy :) Birthday!!
Happy Birthday blessings, Mr. Wonderful! Oh, how quickly they grow.
Our threat of severe weather's just about dissapated, but it's still far too wet to think about eating outdoors. I hope you enjoy the party and hugs!
