ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
TUESDAY, AUGUST 3RD, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!

Today is National Watermelon Day which celebrates a delicious summer fruit that has become a staple of family picnics and cookouts. Watermelon is 92 percent water. No wonder they are so refreshing.
There are around 300 different kinds of watermelon in the U.S. and Mexico. You find red, pink, white and yellow varieties in various shapes and sizes. Watermelons are usually quite large and many county fairs award prizes for the largest ones According tot the Guiness Book of World Records. the heaviest watermelon weighed 369.5 pounds.
To celebrate today, have some watermelon for dessert tonight. Slice it up and eat it plain, cook it on the grill, miss it into a salsa, or blend it in a cocktail. Enjoy!
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Be cool as a watermelon!

Watermelon is my favorite summertime fruit! It is good and good for you too! I’ve had some now sliced and ready to eat in my fridge. Even though, I was able to share half with a friend,, there is still plenty eat. It’s refreshing in the summertime and helps to keep us hydrated since it’s mostly water. They cool us off when it’s hot outside.
Lots of the time I consider it my dessert. It doesn’t have many calories, but it’s still sweet.
The week has started off sunny with temps in the mid 70’s. Perfect weather for sure. We’re supposed to have mostly dry weather and maybe a little warmer each day so hopefully I’ll be able to enjoy a dip in the pool here yet this week. It was wonderful to turn off the A/C and let in some fresh air for a change.
Watermelons are ripe yet locally but the one I got at the grocery store was deliciou!
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!

our troops and HIS wisdom for their

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
