ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SUNDAY, AUGUST 29TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to you♥
Today is also More Herbs, Less Salt Day which celebrates herbs which are much healthier for you than salt. Herbs are undried plants that have a strong flavor that can be used to flavor dishes with its leaves. When you cook your meals, salt is usually used but today promotes the use of herbs instead of salt.
There are numerous variations and nuances of tasty flavors a cook can create by using herbs, it is not just all salt.
To celebrate today collect herbs like basil, green onions, or thyme. Then you might like to cook and enjoy a healthy and deliciously flavored meal.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Herbs are the friend of the physican and the pride of cooks.

This birthday will not be actually celebrated in any physical way here, But my son is fondly remember and missed by all that knew him. He was my first born and will never be forgotten. I can only light my birthday candle to remember him today..
It’s particularly hard to lose a chlld no matter what age they are. To us parents they are always our babies. It’s something we hope we never see. I never wanted to outlive any of my children. But we don’t get to pick and choose how long we’ll live.
I can only think that he is in a much better place, in heaven with his Dad and grandparents too. He was a such a good person and is truly missed.
I think of him often as the grandchildren go back to school. I remember his first day of going to school. I had to put him on a school bus and he cried and fought me all the way. He did not want to leave home. The bus driver however assured me that once he was on the bus he was fine and stopped crying. His teacher said he did fine in school too. But I felt like the meanest mom on earth when I had to put him on that bus.
Thankfully I have many other happy memories of him that help see me through the days without him. We have to hold on to the good memories and forget the bad ones.
I’ll be off to church as usual later on this morning and will be saying some special prayers for his family that are broken hearted without him. May they be comforted in the fact that he is in the best place he could be and is in God’s heavenly care.
And I’ll be praying too for all those in harm’s way from Hurricane Ida. May you all stay safe and may God calm the storm.
I rarely use salt in my cooking these days. I gave it up when I started eating healthier to reduce my blood pressure. And thanks to DS#2 and his wife, I have a small herb garden growing outside on the car port. They sent me the herbs and pots and plant stand as a gift. I use the leaves often in my cooking. My children are all very good to me.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

And may we ever have gratitude in hearts that the great Creator in all His glory has placed the herbs in the field for our healing.

Bittersweet day for me today.
Bittersweet indeed. Sorry for your loss and happy for you memories.
Bittersweet, certainly.
I can't say "I understand" because I don't ... but will say, "I care" because I do. Hugs!
A Special Happy Birthday 😇
