ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR WEDNESDAY, APRIL 7TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Happy Birthday to you♥
Today is also No Housework Day which is an opportunity to put off housework and cleaning. Today’s holiday absolutely insists that you put down the sponge and cleaning supplies and just relax.
A 2008 study conducted at the University of Michigan found that the average married American woman does 17 hours of housework per week. After a long day of school or work, housework is the last thing anyone wants to come home to.
Doctors and health experts say that it is essential for people with busy lifestyles to factor in time to relax. Relaxation can lower heart rate and blood pressure, reduce headaches, and improve concentration.
Celebrate today by ignoring the dirty dishes in the sink and piles of laundry that need to be done and just relax. You deserve it!
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Housework is what a women does that nobody notices unless she hasn’t done it.
Evan Esar
This grandson is nicknamed Dino Boy because of his love of dinosaurs when he was younger. His birthday is a very long distance celebration for me as he lives further away than most of my other grandchildren. I really rarely get to see him, but that doesn’t stop me from thinking of him. A card full of love and birthday wishes will be going out in the mail.
Since I’m retired and no longer working, I’m probably the most relaxed person that I know of and I’m definitely not over worked. I rest a lot and work a little. I should have no stress at all in my life.
But there was a time that I worked a full time job and also kept a home for my children. Truly I believe housework is never done, we keep doing it and by the time we get done with one thing, it’s time to start again.
These days I don’t mind doing it at all. I have plenty of time and don’t need to rush. It’s actually something I enjoy doing. Even though I’m taking a Spring break this week it’s also my week to finish things up around here. I want to be able to go out and play when the weather is nice. They say this summer our community pool will once again be open and hopefully I can spend some pool time. If nothing else, I want to soak up some sun.
I’m not so sure how one will wear a mask when swimming, but there is plenty of room to spread out and keep a safe distance. I suppose if people get too close I could put a mask on but I don’t want it to get wet.
Today is my day to make up a menu for next week. It’s ;the way I do my shopping from and today I’ll be out grocery shopping.
I don’t need a lot because I already have a well stocked freezer and pantry cupboard. I need to use up what I have on hand.
The menu for next week is:
Monday - One Pot Pasta with Spinach and Tomatoes
Wedneday- Saucy Mediterranean Chicken with Rice
Friday - Cod and Asparagus Bake
Weekend - Pizzaiola Chops
On the dinner menu for today is:
Italian Turkey Meatballs
Make 8 servings
1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
3 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. rosemary
1 tsp dry mustard
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp crushed red pepper
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp butter, softened
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine all ingredients except for butter; sir well in a bowl. Form 30 balls out of mixture Put them on a broiler pan coated with melted butter. Bake about 15 minutes or until cut meatball shows no pink inside. Serve with pasta and sauce or on a sandwich.
I think I’ll have mine on a sandwich and sprinkle some grated mozzarella cheese on top. I have some whole wheat hot dog buns that should work fine.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!

they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Take a break and celebrate today!
Happy 🙂 Birthday 🎂🎈
Happy birthday to Dino boy! Your menu sounds great and taking a break from housework sure sounds nice too. Enjoy you day and your meatball sub. :)
Happy Birthday blessings to your handsome grandson!
Now that I'm retired I've plenty of time ... but little motivation. I did, however, give my car a most-overdue wash. The backspray felt wonderful!
Now you tell me no housework. Just spent five hours in the yard, come in did two loads of laundry and now have to think about dinner.
But, it's been a back-breaking day and hope to put the feet up after dinner and snooze while watching TV.
Have a great rest of Wednesday and a greater tomorrow.
