ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, APRIL 25TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National DNA Day which commemorates two important events in the history of DNA research. James Watson and Francis Crick’s discovery of the double helix in 1953, and the completion of the Human Genome Project in April 2003. Both accomplishments have had a huge impact on modern biomedical research and innovation.
The official sponsor of National DNA Day is the National Human Genome Rssearch Institute, which is part of the National Institute of Health. Every year the institute hosts a series of presentations, online forums, and contests to help celebrate this unique brand of science.
To celebrate today , participate in one of the many activities happening and take a moment to learn something new about genetics and DNA.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Genes are like the story, and DNA is the language that the story is written in .
Sam Kean
I think one of the most wonderful things about DNA is how it helps to track where our ancestors cane from. Ancestry fascinates me and I think it’s a good thing to know where they originated.
Then we also hear about people that have been imprisoned for crimes they did not perform and that DNA has proven them innocent. What a blessing we are now about to better track the true criminals.
Science is always discovering more and more new things just like they discovered the vaccines we are now able to get to prevent the Corona Virus. We must get the vaccine to prevent further spread. Hopefully soon we’ll be a able to be back to normal or even better than we were before.
I have leftovers for dinner today. DS#5 fixed some delicious BBQ ribs yesterday and that’s what my dinner will be. They were delicious and I’m looking forward to having them with a side of baked beans and coleslaw.
The day started off nice enough, but while we were eating outside on their patio it cooled down and the rain came in making us retreat back into the house. All in all though it was a lovely day. We had a small gathering, but all good.
The pictures today are of our Sweet Sugar AB. She is the one that has glasses on. It was her special celebration day.
I hope you have a RELAXING Sunday
COUNTING MY GIFTS
It’s good to know where you come from, it makes you what you are today. It’s DNA, it’s in your blood.
Alexander McQueen
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
9119. for my ancestors, they made me who I am
9120. for good leftovers for dinner today
9121. for family traditions and celebrations, they are wonderful.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

BBQ ribs and baked beans sounds like a winning combo anytime of year! I'm sorry part of the meal was spoiled by the rain..... but when you're with loved ones you create your own sunshine!
Because I've never been particularly smart, I'm in awe of those who discover such life-changing, life-saving DNA technology.
What a sweet picture of you and the little ones and so glad we have DNA to help solve crimes and find family members and etc.
