ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Fight Procrastination Day is today. It's a day to get things done, a call to action.
To many people, procrastination is a way of life. The more difficult the action or decision, the easier it is to join the league of procrastinators. As a procrastinator, you are in very good company. You can even become a card carrying member of a Procrastinator's club.
Today is a day to fight procrastination. Make a decision. Take action. Do it now. Do it today. It may be hard to do. But, you will be glad you did.
Now, all you have to do is stop procrastinating and decide to fight procrastination...today!
Today’s Motto:
Never put of until tomorrow, what you can do today!
Mark Twain
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I never put off till tomorrow what I can possibly do — the day after.
Oscar Wilde
I’m trying very hard to get things done around here. Over Labor Day weekend I started to get the fall decorations out and also worked on the fall clothing too. It’s taken me until now to get it all done.
With all of that out of the way I’m moving on to crafting the remainder of this week and hopefully will get those projects done that I’ve put off so I can move on to Christmas.
It’s so easy to put things off, but that can only be done for so long. Then reality hits and you find yourself behind.
I am determined to get the Keurig unplugged and working once again. After a couple of mornings with only tea or instant cappuccino, I went on line and found a nice explanation with pictures on what to do, but so far I’ve been unsuccessful.
I do love the convenience of brewing one cup at a time and being able to have a wide selection of K cups, but my old fashioned Mr. Coffee was much easier to use and to clean.
It’s going to be busy days here at my house. Getting things done has become a priority. No more procrastinating for me.
The pictures are of what is the beginning of my fall decorating and two more of the grands that started back to school this week.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Coffee Ice Cream Day. If you are a coffee lover and a lover of ice cream, then this is the food holiday you look forward to every year.
I do love my ice cream and my coffee but do not remember ever having had coffee ice cream. So today may be the day I’ll try it. However I did find a recipe to share.
Coffee Ice Cream Cookie Cups
1 tube refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
2 cups coffee ice cream
Whipped cream and chocolate syrup
1/3 cup English toffee bits
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Let dough stand at room temperature five to 10 minutes to soften. Cut into 12 slices; press onto bottoms and up the sides of greased muffin cups.
Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly on a wire rack. Spoon ice cream into each cup. Cover and freeze one to two hours or until firm.
Remove cups from pan. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Sprinkle with toffee bits.
Makes 12 servings.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5230. for lots to do, I’ll never be bored
5231. for ice cream, always good
5232. for my Keurig, when it works
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I had to call Keurig one time about something, they were extremely helpful in solving the problem. Seems like you got a lot to keep you busy.

I have been thinking of getting a Keurig. Making a pot of coffee everyday for just me is such a waste!
Funny, "Procrastination Day" following "Be Late Day"!
I hope you do try coffee ice cream, Ma. I've not enjoyed it in years, but it's soooo refreshing.
Oh Pam, your wee one is soooo cute! Love the pics of him. I dont' drink coffee these days, but when I did we had no fancy machines like they do now. I do love the smell of fresh coffee however, especially in the morning. It smells so good! xoxo PS - have never had coffee icecream, but I do love the Coffee Crisp candy bars!
