ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Be Late For Something Day, which is a great day to be a procrastinator. If you are among the millions of us who never seem to be able to stay on schedule, then you will certainly enjoy today.
Being late for something as a common occurrence. It's caused by a whole host of reasons. Some are intentional, some are not. Fall behind schedule early in the day today, and you will be late for everything that follows.
But, whatever you do, don't be late for dinner!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task.
William James
I really try never to be late for things. My calendar helps keep me on track. If I write things down, I do remember when and where. But I have to write them down or I would probably forget.
I can be a procrastinator and put things off though. I’ve meant to start working on the Christmas gifts I’m making for my family this year, but I haven’t started yet.
There is no way I’ll get finished if I don’t start. To finish something we need to have a beginning. I have a plan, now all I need to do is to do it.
Yesterday was definitely the warmest day of this week. We’re to be back in the low 70’s and 60’s. Out west they are still quite hot. Some are in the 100’s and are experiencing wild fires due to the heat. So I won’t complain at all about our weather. I really enjoy cooler days and am very thankful for them.
Today’s pictures are courtesy of DS#6 and family as they enjoyed some fishing on Labor Day weekend.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
I've been looking over the list of spring chores I made up last fall, and darned if they aren't fall chores, after all.

WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s Cheese Pizza Day which is a day to chow down with one of America's favorite meals. Pizza is a favorite of young and old. Originating from Italian cuisine, it's a staple in the American diet. For many American families Pizza night is a Friday or Saturday routine. It's also popular at parties.
I do love pizza so I found an easy recipe to share for homemade cheese pizza. I do have some mozzarella cheese in the fridge so tonight’s dinner will probably pizza here at my house. The crust is made with Bisquick baking mix which is a staple in my pantry.
Easy Cheese Pizza
1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1/3 cup very hot water
8 ounces pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Move oven rack to lowest position. Heat oven to 450 degrees. Grease 12 inch pizza pan. Stir baking mix and water until soft dough forms.
Pat dough in pizza pan, using fingers dipped in baking mix; pinch edge, forming 1/2 inch rim. Spread pizza sauce over crust. Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until crust is brown and cheese is bubbly.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Tomorrow is often the busiest day of the week.
Spanish Proverb
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5227. for cooler days
5228. for some rain, but no flooding
5229. for cheese, good and good for you
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
You may delay, but time will not.

A bit of love from someone dear…

Fishing looked like a lot of fun! I am not one to be late, but I can be a procrastinator at times.

Hee, hee...I like that last photo. The catfish is smiling for the camera!
Yikes. I can't bear the thought of being late, unless you count procrastination. (Thanks, Betty!) Many of our doctors' offices now call or text to remind us of upcoming appointments.
Pizza is the best, isn't it?
Your fishermen look like they are having a ball! Loving the pizza recipe also. I am a bit of a procrastinator, but then I do all my best work under pressure. Having said that however, I cannot stand to be late to anything. I am always, always, early! Have a beautiful weekend! xoxo
