ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR TUESDAY, MARCH 9TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!

Today is National Mealtball Day which celebrate the perfect topping to a classic spaghetti and tomato sauce dish. They are often made by combining ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion milk and an assortment of sauces and seasoning, such as Worcestershire Sauce, black pepper and red pepper flakes.
Those large dense meatballs are a commonplace dish in American Italian restaurants, meatballs served daily in Italy, known as plpetites, are rather small in comparison and typically served without sauce. The origin of the meatball is unknown, however, the Ancient Persains ate a dish of minced meat mixed with rice or burger, called, icofta.
No matter what variety you prefer, celebrate today by making your favorite type from scratch or picking up some frozen ones from the grocery store.
If you can’’t see the bright side, polhish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Nothing mitigates the throes of depression like a steaming plate of spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce and grated cheese , with a good fresh bread to wipe up.

I always keep some frozen meatballs on hand. They are quick and easy to fix. I love them in spaghetti sauce but also use them for making an appetizer too.
I won’t be fixing them today though, because I’m enjoying some leftover soup. I made it yesterday and there is plenty more to enjoy for lunches this week too. Soup always seems to taste better when it’s heated up again for the 2nd or even third time.
I had a great birthday yesterday. Thank you all for the birthday wishes. It started out with a greeting from DD and then I got a call from DS#6 with the kids singing happy birthday to me. After that I got an email with an Amazon gift card from DS#4 and family and promptly downloaded a new book to read. Then I even got an email from my bank wishing me a happy birthday. I got a text message from one of my nieces wishing me a day at the beach! How I wish I could go! The best I could do was enjoy the picture she sent along in the message, .DS#2 and my sister called too and I got a text from DS#3. One way or the other I heard from all my family.
Who knows what I’ll get up today, but I’m still celebrating the rest of the month. It’s one thing I’m sure is worth the excitement and I will enjoy the party.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Miracles are like meatballs, because nobody can exactly agree on what they are made of, where they come from or how often they should appear.

Sorry no meatball pictures today. I had spaghetti but mo meat balls.
So glad you had a nice birthday Ma! I say you should put your feet up and read that new book today. You need a rest day after all the celebrating! :)
So happy to hear how your loved ones' celebrated you ... even the bank! I'll have to remember that Amazon e-mail/gift card thing. I hadn't heard of that, but it's such a great idea. (Especially with the cost of postage and continuing delivery delays.)
Aren't those frozen meatballs the best? Tom always keeps a bag or two in the freezer.
