ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 28TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Palm Sunday which is the Christian moveable feast which always falls on the Sunday before Easter Sunday. It commemorates the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem in the days before his Passion with the waving of Palm branches.
In many churches PALM SUNDAY is marked by the distribution of palm leaves to asseembled worshipers . The difficulty of procuring palms for that day’s ceremonies in unfavorable climates for palms by the native trees led to a substitution of bows of box, hew and other native trees. The name of this Sunday was often designated by the names of these trees as Yew Sunday or by the general term Branch Sunday.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Lord we lift up your name. With hearts full of praise; Be exalted, O Lord my God! Hosanna in the highest!
Carl Tuttle
I’ll be going to church today and will get some palms to bring home with me. We always have plenty of palms given out and lots of people form them in crosses to hang on their walls.
It’s to be a wet and stormy day so it is good we had our family celebration yesterday when it was sunny and warmer.
I’ll need to dig out my rain coat that has been hidden away in the closet for quite a long while. It’s Spring and April showers are coming our way. It will be a good day just to stay in where it’s dry and relax.
This is the beginning of Holy Week in our church and there will be many special days coming this week. We have Holy Monday , Spy Wednesday. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Next week end is Easter and each day this week gives a lesson to make our Easter even better.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
God proved His love on the Cross. When Christ hung, and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, I love you.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Hope you all have a relaxing Sunday !
Enjoy church today and have a nice Palm Sunday Ma.
It's stormy here, too; but thankfully, nothing severe.
I just watched our church services on Facebook live, and watched at the end while those in attendance came and lay their palm fronds on the alter. I'm not familiar with Spy Wednesday, but growing up my parents always took me to services on Maundy Thursday. Didn't Good Friday used to be a school holiday?
