ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 14TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Pi Day which commemorates the mathematical constant of Pi, it is celebrated on 3/14 as it signifies the three most significant digits of Pi in the decimal form - 3, 1, and 4.
Pi Day is celebrated in many ways including eating pie, throwing pies, and discussing the significance of the number. Schools may hold competitions to see which students can decite Pi to the highest number of decimal places.
MIT, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has often mailed its application decision to prospective college students for delivery on Pi Day, exactly at 6:2:8 pm. They have deemed this Tau Time in honor of the rival numbers of Pi and Tau.
Pi has been mathematically calculated to over one trillion digits beyond it’s decimal point. Pi’s infinite nature makes it a fun concept to celebrate and study. Spend today learning about its origins or trying to memorize as much of it as you can.
Today is also National Potato Chip Day and Daylight Savings Time Begins.
If you can’’t see the bright side, polhish the dull side
Sorry no more pictures today, I'm off to church!
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We must have a pie. Stress cannot exist in the presence of a pie.
David Mamet
I’m not very good at mathematics. I’m good at the basics but that is as far as I go, so I think I’ll celebrate today by having a piece of pie today instead.
It’s my day to rest and relax and even though I’m headed out to church this morning, I’ll be coming home to relax and probably read another good book. I have some new ones on my bookshelf to read. Then I’ll have my Sunday afternoon nap. I’ve nothing else planned.
I have dinner ready to heat up. I made roast chicken yesterday and also have some sweet potatoes and green beans to eat along with it. I might even add some cranberry sauce to the meal to round it out. It goes as good with chicken as does with turkey.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Things that really matter are the things that gold can’t buy, so let’s have another cup o’ coffee and let’s have another piece of pie.
Irving Berlin
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
8993.for a piece of pie to enjoy
8994.for mathematical minds that can figure out Pi
8995.for leftovers for dinner
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Vegetables are a must on a diet. I suggest carrot cake, zucchini bread, and pumpkin pie.
Jim Davis
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Glad to know I'm not the only non (math) wizard. To tell the truth, for years the whole concept of Pi day went over my head. Happy Sunday!
