ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 11TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

If you can’’t see the bright side, polhish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Benjamin Franklin
I’ll be making some homemade applesauce today to celebrate. I have some apples that need to be used up. I just peel them, slice them and put them in some a little water and cook them on the stove. They cook up and fall apart and are delicious with a dash of cinnamon.
I try to stay away from sugar so avoid that when possible. The apples are usually sweet enough on their own without any extra sweetness needed.
I’ll have this with my dinner tonight which is leftovers heated up from yesterday. Mashed potatoes and Meatloaf with gravy.
Apples are so good for us and provide fiber, vitamin C and various antioxidants. They are very filling considering their low calorie count. Studdies show that eating apples can have multiple benefits for our health including gut health and reduced risk of stroke, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and some cancers.
Today would have also been DDH’s 79th birthday, he died when he was only 50 year old and I was 48 from a massive heart attack. So many years ago now that I’ve been a widow longer than we were married. But he is never forgotten. He was a wonderful man, husband and father.
It’s supposed to be a rainy day here with some thunderstorms. The results of the air cooling down. Try to stay dry and remember to make your own sunshine !
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!!

Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Every thought is a seed. If you plant crab apples, don’t count on harvesting Golden Delicious.

A Special Happy Birthday 🎈 and Hugs 💕
Sending up some special birthday wishes today.
Happy Heavenly Birthday to your DDH. 50 years old seems SO young; you must have been devastated! I've not tried making applesauce; Tom always keeps a 6-pack in the fridge and seems happy with the Wal-Mart brand.
