ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR THURSDAY, MARCH 25TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Make Up Your Own Holiday Day. You know how many interesting and unique holidays there are in the world and today is your chance to make one up.
Establishing an official national holiday is not an easy process. For example in the 1800’s Sara Joseph Hale decide that our nation should a national day of thanks. She wrote countless letters to politicians , governors, and even the preisdent. In 1863 President Abraham Lincoln ageeed to Hale’s proposal but Thanksgiving did not become an official holiday until 1941.
To celebrate today, come up with a creative, meaningful, or quirky idea for a holiday.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
It’s not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.
Charles Spurgeon
My idea for a holiday today would be to celebrate Be Happy Day. I’m not sure, but maybe we already have one of those. I think life is too short to be any thing but happy, so that’s what I choose.
The older I get, the shorter my life seems and I realize how many days I wasted not being happy. There’s no excuse for that, but sometimes life’s circumstances get in the way. But no matter what happens we can choose our attitude.
I think we should celebrate every day and that is why I share what special holiday it is. Every day is such a gift and I’m thankful for each one. I think we’re meant to enjoy life to the fullest and to do otherwise would be to deny the gift we’ve been given.
Today we’re to have rain, but we can always make our our own sunshine !
Yesterday we got up to 75 degrees but the rain will bring some cooler days our way. On the bright side, we’ll only be in the 50’s and considering what we’ve had, 50 is still warm. So it’s not a bad temp to be at. Anything above freezing seems like a heat wave to me after the freezing cold winter we had. Today is my day to go get my hair cut. The last four weeks went by in a flash. DD will be taking me as she always schedules her appointment at the same time as mine. So it’ll be a great day spending some time with her.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.
Omar Khayyam
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
9023. for every day, it is gift to celebrate
9024. for happiness that makes life worthwhile
9025. for so many holidays to enjoy
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Try to make at least one person happy every day. If you cannot do a kind deed, speak a kind word, think a kind thought. Count up, if you can the treasures of happiness that you would dispense in a week, in a year, in a lifetime !

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Be Happy and celebrate every day !
Enjoy your day with DD and I'll be here celebrating Be Happy Day with you! :)
I don't care HOW many "Be Happy Days" there are ... bring 'em on and let's do it!
My holiday was bringing leftover dry cat food (8-10 bags, semi-full), unused medicine and canned food to a no-kill shelter. Our "Momma" cat died in January and this food was various brands I tried to get her to eat. Her "daughter Binkie" doesn't like any at all either; she just eats treats! Don't we all.
As well as, dropping off four boxes to Goodwill; trying to downsize, haha, that didn't put any kind of dent in this house!
Also brought old lightbulbs and computer stuff to a recycle company nearby.
Of course, while the cat's away, Moi, I had to stop at Dollar Tree and Dollar General!
Seems like I should have been two-three hours down the road, but just a vicious circle, then back home.
