ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 7TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Cereal Day which is the most popular breakfast food in America. But that wasn’t always the case. Up until the 1860’s, most people ate eggs, bacon and sausage every morning. Cereal emerged as a healthier alternative at the end of the 19th century.
The invention of the most famous brands of cereal was an accident. In 1877 , two brothers name John Harvey Kellog and Will Keith Kellog were sxperimenting with food made from wheat. They left a batch out overnight and returned to find it stale. Istead of throwing it away, they rolled it out and discovered that each wheat berry formed its own flake. They tried the same process with corn and created the first dry breakfast cereal which we now know as Kellogs Corn Flakes.
Many people start their day with a bowl of cereal. Whole grain cereals are an excellent source of fiber, iron and B Vitamins.
Celebrate today and have a bowlful of your favorite brand!
If you can’’t see the bright side, polhish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Remember the days when you let your child have some chocolate if he finished his cereal. Now, chocolate is one of the cereals.
Robert Orban
I often start the day with a bowlful of cereal and mix it with my bananas. I keep a variety on hand and change out what I have. i also keep some Frosted Flakes on hand for one of my grandsons to have when he comes to visit. The only sweetened cereal I buy for myself is frosted Shredded Wheat. I really don’t need any added sugar in my diet. And if I don’t have my daily banana I tend to have leg cramps.
It’s my day to rest and relax so I’m ready to go on Monday.I need it due to the party yesterday. It was all wonderful and I thank those that were able to help me celebrate. The company and the food were great ! Still it was more activity than I’m used to so I need the rest today. I have leftovers for my meal and for dessert too, so there will be no need to cook and I’ll be watching church services on line as usual.
Even though I’ve had the vaccine now and feel much safer, I’m still taking it slow and easy and enjoying my day of rest.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
In life, as in breakfast cereal. It is always best to read the instructions on the box.

Take Care!!
So glad to hear your party was enjoyable, Pam!
That's pretty interesting about the origin of Kellogg's flakes! My mother used to buy the variety pack of little cereal boxes; and I suppose wound up eating those I wouldn't. There was a period I kept a box of mini shredded wheat to snack on 'dry' instead of potato chips or Doritos. And every once in a while, I'll have a bowl of Grape Nuts for supper.
