ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR FRIDAY, MARCH 26TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Purple Day which is dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. People are invited to wear purple and host events around the world in support of epilepsy awareness and to dispel myths and fears of this neurological disorder. Purple Day was implemented on June 28, 2012.
Lavender is the international color for epilepsy and is also a color that symbolizes solitude.
The neurological condition, epilepsy impacts the central nervous system causing seizures and other symptoms. Epilepsy is not contagious, but any group can develop epilepsy. In a lot of cases it is highly treatable, although treatment can be challenging to find in some parts of the world.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.
Regina Brett
I’m proud to wear my purple today in support of one of my granddaughters who has epilepsy. In her case it has been a lifetime struggle to find the right treatment. Her seizures have been very difficult to control and since she is on medication she is being constantly monitored for other health issues too.
She inspires all of us. She is a beautiful young woman now in her teens and her family includes her in everything they do. It’s not been an easy road for them, but one smile from her can make it all worth while.
Today, I’m getting ready for our family Easter gathering tomorrow and will be making some potato salad to take along to share. DS#5 and his family are our hosts for this celebration. Last year we were on lock down and couldn’t get together, but this year is better and we can do it so I’m very excited to see my family. There will be an Easter egg hunt for the kids and we’ll be having dinner together.
The weather has cooled down but tomorrow we should be sunny and in the mid 60’s so it should be a great day to be outside.
Out of my 7 children, 4 families should be able to come, some due to time and distance will not be there, but they will be missed. I’m just glad that those that can, will be together once again!
The pictures today are of last year’s celebration celebrated on a Zoom call. Where we all gathered around our computers instead of actually being together.Hopefully this is only the beginning of many more better days ahead.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

It's nice to have a day to make us aware and not to believe in myths and to dispel fear.
What would we ever have done over the past year without technology like we have now? Have a wonderful time at your family Easter gathering tomorrow!
I'm glad to know more attention is being given to epilepsy awareness. Only one person I knew - a fellow grade-schooler - had it. Unfortunately, when she suffered a seizure we were terrified and confused. Not one of the adults addressed it, and I don't remember her ever returning to class. How blessed your g'daughter, to be supported by those who love her! 💜
I hope your family Easter gathering is great fun!
