ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
TUESDAY, APRIL 19TH, 2022
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!

Today is Primrose Day which takes place on the anniversary of of the death of British statesman and prime minister Benjamin Disraeli, 1st Earl of Beaconsfield in 1881.
The primrose was his favorite flower and Queen Victoria would send him bunches of them from Windsor and Osborne House. She sent a wreath of primroses to his funeral.
On this day Disraeli’s statue in Parliament Square, London is decorated with primroses as is his grave in Hughenden, Buckinghamshire.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Never complain and never explain.
Benjamin Disraeli
There are no flowers blooming here except for daffodils and tulips. And right now even they are covered with snow. But on the bright side, primroses do grow in Ohio. You can buy them in nurseries and they also grow wild in some places.
I think some version of them do come up in my yard. I get these pretty yellow blossoms blooming in the grass during the summer months. To some they are like weeds like dandelions, but for me they are beautiful.
This is to be the last day of our cold weather this week and hopefully the last of the snow too. Tomorrow will be in the 50’s and by the weekend in the 70’s. It sounds wonderful.
This is also my sister’s birthday so I’d like to wish her a very happy birthday. The picture below is of her on her birthday a couple of years ago.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Change is inevitable. Change is constant.
Benjamin Disraeli
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
10,168 for pretty blooming flowers
10,169. for my sister, it’s her birthday today
10,170. for warmer days coming our way
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Never take anything for granted.
Benjamin Disraeli
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

Victor Lasky wrote a Biography of Henry Ford II, entitled it "Never Complain Never explain'. I thought that was original. I enjoy learning... THANKS ;-)
Happy Birthday to your sister! That's a gorgeous cake; and I smiled again at the significance of the 3 candles.
