Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

A good laugh a day will chase the sadness away!
What a thoughtful gesture on the part of your son! (Leaving his son's laughter on your answering machine, I mean.) I, too, love to laugh but don't seize the opportunity like I should. Do you remember that Robin Williams movie about the doctor who used to put on clown noses, etc. to make his patients laugh and get better? My pastor at the time remarked: all the televisions in the hospital should be programmed to only get one channel: The Comedy Channel.
It's been a long time since I read a really funny book. If you discover one, please let us know!
It is definitely a pleasure to be around someone who has a knack of making you laugh. Smiling here and Thanks.
