ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SUNDAY, APRIL 10TH, 2022
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Siblings Day which celebrates all your siblings, and the other fantastic people in our lives who have acted as siblings over the years.
This day has been recognized as an annual event for thousands of years in other nations, including Northern India and several South Asian countries.
In the United States, National Sibling Day became and official holiday in 2008 from the efforts of the Sibling Day Foundation. Claudia Evart, founder of the foundation, created the holiday after both of her siblings passed away early in life
Today the foundation hopes to grow this day as large as Mother’s and Father’s Day, as all the people are very important in our lives.
A siblings relationship is often one of the longest relationships in a person’s life.
To celebrate today tell your siblings how much they mean to you and show how much you appreciate them.
Today is also Palm Sunday
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Big sisters are the crab grass in the lawn of life.
Charles M. Schultz
Thankfully I was blessed with two siblings. I had two sisters, but sadly one of them passed away, so now I’m left with only one and she is very loved and appreciated.
We share so many memories together and over the years, I think her memory has become greater than mine. We love to reminisce over our childhood days. I was the oldest and they didn’t always like me and used to play a lot of tricks on me. They didn’t like it because I was put in charge when my mom was working.
Now that we are older there is no animosity but only a lot of love. She is always there for me and we keep in touch regularly. We enjoy more phone calls than actual visits due to the fact that she doen’t live close by. But we always check up on each other to see how it’s going.
We are both retired now and are both grandmothers. It’s nice that my daughter is very good friend with one of her daughters too and sometimes the 4 of us will do things together.
I don’t know what I’d do without her. I’ve known her all my life.
I also have a few friends that are almost likes sisters as we’ve known each other for so long. It’s been said that one of them even looks like me. They too are always there for me. What would I do without them and all the memories we share.
For the first time in years, I think I’ll be forgoing Church this Palm Sunday. Even though it is supposed to be warmer today, in the 50’s, I’m choosing to watch services online. But next Sunday, which is Easter, I’ll definitely be going.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life.
Isadora James
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
10,141 for my sisters, they are a gift to me
10,142. for online streaming of church services
10,143. for my friends that are like family
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
For there is no friend like a sister in calm or stormy weather; To cheer one on the tedious way, to fetch if one goes astray, to lift one if one totters down, to strengthen whilst one stands.
Christina Rossetti
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

I have no brothers but was blessed with two sisters.
Oh yes you describe childhood well. There were 7 total of us and I am the baby and the only one left. There were 7 in Sherry's family and she is the only one left. Lots of good memories. THANKS
;-)
I've heard it said, a sibling is your first and last friend. Not sure, since I've none of my own ... unless you count friends who feel like siblings. Those who like me, even when I'm not very likeable.
Siblings were part of surviving. 3 brothers and 1 sister were a challenge, I tell you. But two of my brothers died when they were in their 40s and they are so missed. Ornery, they were, but loved.
