ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FRIDAY, APRIL 8TH, 2022
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!
Hallmark
Today is All is Ours Day which highlights all the wonderful things in the world . Be aware of our surroundings and what exists in them. Think about the fact that a lot of these things belong to everyone and they should be shared with all people in the world.
Today aims to sharpen our sense of responsibility and to make us understand that we all share a wonderful world but also share the responsibility for it. A total different way to interpret this is to recognize the chances we have to live our lives. It is all out there waiting for us, we just need to reach out and grab it.
To celebrate today be aware of all the wonderful things in life right around you.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Spring is the perfect time to see all the things around us that we share. The best example I can think of the is the moon and the stars. We all share them and we all can see them in the sky, no matter where we are. Just as we share the sunshine on a warm day.
One of the things I was taught is that we should always leave things better than what we found them. If we go someplace we should always clean up behind ourselves and not leave a mess for others.
There is beauty all around us. All we have to do is look for it. Even if somedays we have to look a little harder.
It’s my day to cook up a meatless dinner. And on the menu for today is:
Spinach Pizza Quesadillas
Makes 6 servings
6, 8 inch whole wheat tortillas
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
3 cups fresh spinach
1 can pizza sauce
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. On half of each tortilla layer 1/2 cup cheese, 1/2 cup spinach, and about 2 Tbsp. sauce. Fold other half over the filling. Place on a baking sheet coated in cooking spray.
Bake until cheese is melted and if desired serve with additional pizza sauce.
This is a quick and easy dinner and I will have this with a crisp green salad on the side.
Yesterday I got 2 great surprises. #1. They called to say my part for the car had come in and I’m to take it in to be fixed on Monday evening so they can work on it on Tuesday. #2 DS#2 sent a box filled with all different kinds of Texas coffee. I’ll have something new to try out for several days ahead. I always love to try out new flavors and I’ll be letting them know what my favorite is.
We have a 50% chance of showers again today. No doubt May should be full of flowers here. I’m going to be staying in and keeping dry and will try to get some house work done. I never get a whole lot done at a time, but rest a lot in-between. That’s life in the slow lane for you.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched- they must be felt with the heart.
Helen Keller.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
10,135 for a beautiful world to share with others
10,136. for rainy days which are a good time to get housework done
10,137. for new coffee flavors to try out.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
Max Ehrmann
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

The world is a beautiful place. Try to leave it better than you found it.
Great thought: We should leave things better than we found them!~ Life is good. Things WILL get better.
sending love from here. ;-)
TWO great surprises, indeed! Now waiting to hear if the old legend is true about good things coming in 3. Aw, listen to me -- all about us is beauty, free-for-nothing.
Your recipe has me thinking I need a quesadilla maker!
