ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
THURSDAY, JUNE 24TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is International Fairy Day which honors fairy believers young and old who celebrate stories, magic and history of the Fair Folk. For centuries fairies have been an important part of Celtic culture. In all of the ancient legends these mythological creatures are intelligent, and magical. They have the ability to fly and cast spells, and they live in ’Tir na nog;’, the land of eternal youth.
Some say that humans don’t often see fairies because of the division between the two worlds, but sightings can occur at twilight during Beltane, Mid Summer’s Eve, or All Hallows Eve.
In his 1904 play Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie wrote that when the first baby laughted, the laugh brook into a thousand pieces, and that was the beginning of fairies.
Today is the perfect opportunity to relive your childhood fantasies and celebrate the joy and magic of the fairy world. Read a classic fairy tale, build a fairy house, or take a stroll through the woods. You never know when you might stumble across something magical.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists , even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?
John Lennon
The pictures today were taken at one of our local garden centers. They had a great display of fairies and miniatures to make fairy houses with. I don’t doubt that fairies exist. Anything is possible and there is more to this world than we know about.
My favoirite fairy is probably Tinkerbell from the story of Peter Pan. We watched her flying around when we’d watch the Wonderful World of Disney on TV.
Today is to be a mostly sunny day and hotter than we’ve been for a few days. It’s to be in the upper 80’s but they say that the humidity will remain low and that makes it more pleansant to be outside. I’m going to watch one of my grandson’s play baseball this evening and it should be lots of fun. This is the first game I’ve gone to this year and I am excited as I do love baseball.
I hope you have a GREAT day! Happy Thursday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
It is frightfully difficult to know much about the fairies, and almost the only thing for certain is that there are fairies wherever there are children.
J.M. Barrie
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
9297.for fairies and magic

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Few humans see fairies or hear their music, but many find fairy rings of dark grass, scattered with toadstools, left by their dancing feet.

Pretty fairy pictures, thanks for sharing.
I love the quotes about the fairies. This is the second post today I've seen about them. Take a peek at Willow's blog, I think you'll enjoy her fairy trail post today...

Have a great time at the baseball game! :)
The story of Peter Pan never grows old. What's that line, "If you believe, clap your hands!" Have fun at the ball game!
