ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR THURSDAY, MAY 20TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!

Today is Be a Millionaire Day which is the perfect opportunity to dream big and imagine what life would be like as a millionaire. While a million dollars isn’t what it used to be, seeing a 7 figure number in your bank account is still considered a major financial milestone.
The first multi- millionaire in the United States was John Jacob Astor. He made is fortune in trade and later established the first trust in American history. His great grandson, John Jacob Astor IV, was the wealthiest person aboard the Titanic.
There are many different ways to celebrate Be a Millionaire Day. Challenge your family to name as many millionaires as you can, or bake a batch of delicious Millionaire’s Shortbread for a special treat.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
It is good to have money and the things that money can buy, but it’s good too, to check up once in a while to make sure you haven’t lost the things money can’t buy.
George Horace Lorimar
There are lots of recipes with Millionaire in the name. One of my favoirites is Millionaire Dip which is made with mayonaise, green onions, cheddar cheese and bacon bits and is delicious served on Ritz crackers.
I really consider myself the richest person on the earth. I have everything I need and couldn’t be any happier with more money. I have a loving fmily which is my greatest treasure for sure. They are so good to me, I couldn’t possibly be any prouder than I am.
I am wealthy in all the things I consider important: my faith, family and friends. Money cannot buy happiness and I’m a very thankful and happy person.
The only possible way I’d become a millionaire is if I won the lottery. They are doing a drawing here in Ohio for those that have been vaccinated so I could be a winner. And Ohio has a state lottery, but first I have to remember to buy a ticket in order to win.
Winning would only make me happy because I’d have money to give away to others to make them happier than they are. I really don’t need more money, I’m already weathy beyond measure.
Today’s pictures are of part of my family who make me happier than any amount of money every could.
I hope you have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
It’s not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.
Charles Spurgeon
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Money can't buy happiness !
Amen! Unfortunately, Alabama shot down the latest lottery initiative. So while there's no temptation to go out and buy a ticket, I'm not losing sleep. I wouldn't trade the simple life I'm enjoying for all the money in the world.
... But I would love some of that tasty-sounding dip and crackers!
I love the beautiful photos. I'm in the same shoes and always say I need to start getting lottery tickets but somehow I never do!
