ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
WEDNESDAY,FEBRUARY 23RD, 2022
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Banana Bread Day which celebrates a delicious baked good that is classified as a quick bread or tea cake.
Bananas arrived in the United States in the 1870’s and quickly became one of the most popular fruits on the market. It wasn’t long before they started to appear in dessert recipes as the star ingredient.
The first cookbooks that mentioned banana bread were published during the Great Depressions. Culinary historians believe that a resourceful housewife who did not want to throw over ripe bananas away may have invented the original recipe.
Today there are many variations on this classic. To celebrate today bake or buy yourself a delicious loaf with adding like chocolate chips, berries or nuts!
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Time flies like an arrow - but fruit flies like a banana.
Terry Wogan
I try to have aa banana every day so I usually have them on hand and very often find myself with over ripe bananas. I love Banana Bread and it is very quick and easy to make. But for today, I think I’ll pick up some at the grocery store.
Thankfully today is a drier day out and thankful too, that I remembered not to shop yesterday when it was raining. I was a day ahead on making my shopping list but discovered my mistake before going shopping in the rain. It’s colder but not raining outside today.
I shared my recipe for today yesterday. I finished up the leftover lasagna DD had sent home with me yesterday. So yes, I’ll be fixing the peppers today.
I hope I haven’t been too confusing. I sometimes forget what day it actually is, But for today I know I’m out of leftovers so I must cook.
I’m also hoping to get out and get an E check on my car which is something we have to do in order to get a new sticker on our car licenses. My birthday is coming up in March so this is something that must be done before then.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!!

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Bananas are good and good for you too!
I know all about forgetting what day it is! Ever dependent on the calendar, half the time I'm still asking Tom, "Is this Saturday?" LOL.
Banana nut bread is such a comforting food! I still use my mother's recipe, more for sentimentality than anything else.
