ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SATURDAY,FEBRUARY 26TH, 2022
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!

Today is Tell a Fairy Tale Day which is the perfect time to let your imagination roam free. Read fairy tales to your kids or just read them for fun.
There are countless stories to choose from Little Red Riding Hood , Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel to the Princess and the peal. All whimsical tales that have entertained children and adults alike for years.
A fairy tale is traditionally a short story with mythical and fantastic characters such as elves, fairies, gnomes and more These stories are meant to enchant readers.
Celebrate today and read aloud your favorite together with someone or by yourself. It’s a good idea to encourage kids to be creative and write one of their own.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Fairy tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but they tell us that dragons can be beaten.
Neil Gaiman
My pictures today are from a few years back when some of the grands attended a pirates and princess party. All children dream of their fairy tales coming true.
I do love tales that start with once upon a time and end with they lived happily ever after. What could be better for anyone but to have a happy ending.
Although I’m going to a birthday party today for our Lucky Guy, I’m still cooking for the weekend so that I won’t have to cook tomorrow which is Sunday, my day of rest
On the menu is:
Maple Dijon Chicken
Makes 4 servings
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch strips
1/2 tsp. dried rosemary, crushed
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1/3 cup Dijon mustard
3 Tbsp. maple syrup
Toss chicken with seasonings. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium high heat and saute chicken. Add onion and garlic and stir 5 minutes. Stir in mustard and syrup and stir until it is caramelized.
I think I’ll be having mine on top of some noodles and a simple salad to go with it. It is advised to use less mustard if you don’t like the taste of it.
DS#5 and his family will be giving me a ride today as the party is 1 1/2 hours away. And I’m supposed to be coming home with DD as she is coming later on by herself and would like company going home. Her son is going to be in a math contest this morning and I wish him the best of luck.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday!!

Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
