ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SUNDAY,FEBRUARY 20TH, 2022
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Daytona 500 which is a 500 mile long NASCAR race held every year at the Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The first race was held in 1959, the same year the speedway opened. Since 1982, it’s been seasoning open race of the Cup series.
The Daytona 500 is the biggest race of the NASCAR schedule with the largest prize. This popular race is often referred to as the Great American Race or the Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing. The date changes year to year, but it’s alway held in February.
Each winner is awarded the Harley J. Earl Trophy in Victory Lane. The wining race car is displayed as if in a museum, at the Daytona 500 Experience for one whole year.
Celebrate today by watching the race by yourself or with family and friends!
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Life is not a race. It’s a journey, enjoy it !

I don’t know if I’ll see the race today or not, but I have some pictures to share of the race track I have here at my house. The grands have all had a great time racing cars on it over the years. Although most of them are now getting older, I haven’t gotten rid of the all the toys I’ve kept here for them to play with. I suppose it is really time for me to donate them for other children to enjoy.
Although I have plenty of leftovers for dinner, I’m going to DD’s house for dinner today. She said she is making Lasagna and I’m looking forward to it. Hopefully she will send some leftovers home with me too. It’s been awhile since I’ve had homemade Lasagna and I love it.
As the weatherman promised it is warming up here again today so it will be a great day to get out and about. DS#5 and his family are picking me up as they are invited to dinner too and it will be after dark when I come home.
I no longer drive after dark at all and most of the time I have no reason to, but when I do I always catch a ride with someone else.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Slow and steady wins the race.
Aesop
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
10,000 for exciting races to watch
10,001. for dinner at my daughter’s house
10,002 for a ride from DS#5
.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY

I love the plans you have for today! Food seems to taste better when someone else does the cooking! Today I will make some 'new food' as we have been eating leftovers or sandwiches since we got here! I have spentsomuch time in the girl bunk catching up on my sleep!
