ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SUNDAY,FEBRUARY 13TH, 2022
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Super Bowl Sunday which is called the second largest U.S. food consumption day, after Thanksgiving.
It always takes place on the first Sunday of February. The Super Bowl is the championship game of the National Football League . It is the most watched American television broadcast. Many popular singers and musicians have performed during the event’s pregame and halftime ceremonies.
Exclusive television broadcast rights for the Super Bowl rotate eash year between 3 of the 4 major American television networks; CBS, NBC, and Fox. Because of its high viewship, commercial airtime for the Super Bowls the most expensive of the year. Due to the high cost of investing in advertising, companies develop their most expensive and ostensibly best advertisements. As a result watching and discussing the commercials has become a significant aspect of the event as well.
The Super Bowl was first played on January 15, 1967, as part of a merger agreement between the NFL and a rival league, the American Football League.
Larmar Hunt, former owner of the Kansas City Cheifs and founding member of the American Football League, coined the name Super Bowl after watching his childrenn playing with a Super Ball. The Super Bowl uses Roman numerals to identify each game, rather than the year in which it is held.
To celebrate today, watch the Super Bowl and enjoy some delicious food while doing so.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Football is like life it requires perseverance, self denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority.
Vince Lombardi
Although I’m not a big fan of football, I usually do watch it. I enjoy the performances of the stars at half time and the commercials too. DDH and the boys always watched for years, and they really enjoyed it. I had no choice but to watch it too.
I’ve got my leftovers to heat up and eat today and also have plenty of snacks on hand, so I’ll enjoy the game.
We’re to have a high of 20 degrees today so I’m staying in and keeping warm and watching church services streamed on my phone once again
What can I say but I don’t like cold weather at all.
Today’s pictures are of a family football game a few years ago at Thanksgiving time.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

9981.for a day at home, warm and cozy
.
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
The game of life is a lot like football. You have to tackle your problems, block your fears and score your points when you get the opportunity.
