ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is World Mental Health day which is an international day for global metal health education, awareness and advocacy against social stogma. It was first celebrated in 1992 at the unitive of the World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organization with members and contacts in 150 countries. This day, each October, thousands of supporters come to celebrate this annual awareness program to bring attention to mental illness and its major effects on people’s lives worldwide. In some countries this day is part of an awareness week, such as Mental Health Week in Australia.

If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.
Dan Millman
Mental Health has become more and more prevalent this past year with so many having had to stay in and keep to themselves. Being alone can cause some Mental Heath issues. We need to reach out to others, especially those that live alone and make sure they are doing ok. Depression is a major cause of mental health issues. For so long we weren’t even able to give each other a hug.
Some have suffered many losses this year, not only in loved ones from the covid, but in losiing there jobs too. We need to show we care and give them some much needed attention.
Here at my house, I’m blessed to have a loving family that always shares with me how much they care. Even though I live alone, I’m really never alone. My faith also has a lot to do with that as I know God is always with me. I keep a litle brown bird on the buffet here in the front room to remind me that if He can take care of the sparrows, He will take of me.
We have to keep positive and not let the world change us. We can be anything we want a long as we believe we can do it.
It’s suppose to be another nice day and I’m thinking I should get out and go to church today, we’ll see if I can manage to get ready on time, but if not, the services are always on line to stream in to watch. I’m thankful to have this option.
Otherwise I have no special plans for the day. It should be a relaxing day for me.Today’s pictures are some showing of my loving family.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

We need to show we care a lot!
I'm so gratified to know that more light is being shed on mental health issues. Both my DIL and granddaughter #1 work in that capacity -- and it seems for 26 years now, Lois has been championing for more support on behalf of her clients. Sadly, little has changed, but I doubt that's going to quiet her anytime soon.
And let us remember, too, those who are silently struggling behind their smiles.
