Decide to be happy today, to live with what is yours – your family, your business, your job, your luck. If you can’t have what you like, maybe you can like what you have.
Just for today, be kind, cheerful, agreeable, responsive, caring, and understanding. Be your best, dress your best, talk softly, and look for the bright side of things. Praise people for what they do and do not criticize them for what they cannot do. If someone does something stupid, forgive and forget. After all, it’s just for one day.
Who knows, it might turn out to be a nice day.

Keep on telling the stories !
What an interesting post. I loved the circle ghost stories around the camp fire, I wish we had thought of that. Good stuff. Oh yes and you said: I wish I knew more and am sorry I didn’t ask more questions......
Sad we all say the same thing. Once I thought of that and wrote a book of mine and Sherry's history. Once it was done we started thinking what was left out. Any of our lives would about fill a library. But YES I wish I had learned more about mama and dad.

Sherry & jack Thinking of stories I have told....
My dad told the best stories! And one of the nicest things my mother did was take me to the library. I don't remember there being a story hour.
I'm so impressed you enjoyed telling stories to your littles! Perhaps you could ask one of your 'not so littles' to record you doing so now days. In turn, they could play that for their own children someday. I'd give anything if that technology had been available back then.
Oh, I hope you keep telling stories….I bet they are much more appreciated than you think. Stories are a real treasure!
Happy day and blessings to you, V.
