ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
THURSDAY DECEMBER 9TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Christmas Card Day which honors Sir Henry Cole of England, who created the first commercial Christmas card in 1843. That makes today the perfect time to get started on your own cards for the holiday season.
Between shopping for gifts and decorating, that doesn’t leave much time to write our countless Christmas cards. This year save time and money by sending out digital cards. They can be personalized with a family photo, heartfelt video and a thoughtful message.
To celebrate today create your own personalized Christmas cards.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
May all your days be Merry and Bright this season.
Most of the time I prefer to actually mail out real cards rather than do the digital ones. There is something much better about sending and receiving real cards. We get to hold them in our hands and display them for viewing. I’m taping mine around the doorway this year. When people come to visit they also like to look at them. There are many beautiful ones out there and I’ve got mine ready and waiting for my attention.
I hope to finish them by this coming weekend and get them in the mail by this weekend. For those of you that I don’t have addresses for, please consider this my Christmas card to you !
For those son’s of mine that live out of town, I’d like you know that I also got your gifts in the mail this week and you should be receiving them soon, but try not to open them until Christmas ! I’d appreciate it if you let me know when you receive them, so that I know they arrived safely
The days counting down to Christmas are rolling right along here and to get me into the Spirit of Season, I’m supposed to go to DS#5’s girls Christmas concert tonight. Word is that they may be even singing one of my favorite Christmas songs. The pictures today are of some of the cards I've received over the years.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Wishing you the warmest of Christmas greetings. Sit back and enjoy the carols, fill your belly and love one another and most of all be thankful.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Though coming at the the end of the year, Christmas is a new beginning, it is a time to remember others, gather around us all that we love, put aside problems and face the future with confidence.
The Postal Record
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Send out a Christmas card this year and let others know you are thinking of them.
I, too, went the digital/e-cards route one year; but in the end, it feels good to pen a physical greeting.
Children's Christmas concerts are so sweet. Hope you all enjoy every number!
