ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
TUESDAY DECEMBER 7TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day which honors and commemorates the fallen U.S. citizens who were killed in a surprise attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. The attack of the Japanese in Honolulu’s Pearl Harbor base on December 7, 1941 resulted in the United States entrance into WWII. President Franklin Roosevelt described the attack on Pearl Harbor as a date which will live in infamy.
The USS Arizon Memorial at Pearl Harbor is one o the most visited places in Hawaii. Millions of people from across the world pay visits to this historical monument .
2,403 Americans and 1,178 were wounded during the Pearl Harbor attack. Today we honor those that lost their lives or were injured on December 7, 1941 and we relmember the event that played a part in U.S. History.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Pearl Harbor caused our Nation to wholeheartedly commit to winning WWII, changing the course of our Nation ’s history and the world’s future .
Joe Baca
I can not forget and will always remember all those that lost their lives in WWII. War is such a terrible thing and has ruined many peoples lives. Some children never got to see their fathers. I don’t think any of us could ever forget something like that.
We were forced to enter into war in order to defend ourselves, and yet no war is ever good. Working for peace in the world is a much better alternative and we should always remember that peace begins with you and me.
Being a peacemaker is important and much better that making war.
So I’ll be celebrating this day by remembering all the fallen and renewing my efforts toward being a peaceful person. Advent is a time to reflect on the peace that Christ brought into the world with the birth of his only Son!
The pictures today are of a few of BELIEVE signs I have around my house . Christmas is a time to BELIEVE in the goodness of God.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Pearl Harbor remains a symbol of American resilience and resolve, and we pray for all those that have served and continue to serve in our military. May we never forget their bravery and sacrifice.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
9774.for all those who have lost their lives and loved ones in war.
9775 for our military that defends and keeps us safe
9776.for Peace at Christmas
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
The lesson of Pearl Harbor ought never be forgotten, and of course the motto that came from that 69 years ago, the war which my dad fought, was Remember Pearl Harbor, never again. We need to keep that to mind.

I will always remember and never forget.
Like those who responded to the Twin Towers on 9/11, we owe these men and women our utmost respect and remembrance.
