ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
TUESDAY DECEMBER 28TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Chocolate Candy day which is one of the most popular sweets in the world. It can be combined with everything from nuts to caramel to raisins and pretzels.
It’s time to make some of our favorite chocolate treats.
During the Second World War the U.S. Government commissioned Milton Hershey to create a candy bar to include in the soldiers rations. The recipe his company created is now the famous Hershey Milk Chocolate Bar.
Today, chocolate still clearly an American favorite. Over 2.3 billion pounds are consumed annually. On the average that means each person consumes over eleven pounds per year.
To celebrate, enjoy some of your favorite chocolate candy today !
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Anything is good if it’s made of Chocolate.
Jo Brand
This has to be one of my favorite holidays, so I will be celebrating today. I always have some kind of chocolate candy on hand and eat at least one or two pieces a day.
I have some individually wrapped Dove chocolates on hand and DD gave me some chocolate covered cherries for Christmas. My fruit basket from Florida also included some chocolate covered peacans. So you can see I have plenty of chocolate on hand.
Chocolate is supposed to be very good for us. It improves our mood and dark chocolate is good for reducing high cholesterol.
I’m going to feel good today and be healthier too!
DS#6 is supposed to be coming for coffee this morning. He said he’ll be bringing donuts ! That’s a treat for me too!
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
All you need is love. But a little chocolate naw and then doesn’t hurt.
Charles M. Schultz
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
9841. for chocolate, good and good for us too.
9842. for all my Christmas gifts
9843. for my family who make me so happy.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Strength is the capacity to break a Hershey bar into four pieces with your bare hands — and then eat just one of the pieces.
Judith Viorst

A bit of love from someone dear…

I love how your 'children' love you, Ma! Tom normally keeps junior-size Butterfingers on hand; but the other day I found a two-for-one special on the Lindor balls. Simple pleasures!
Avg. 11 lbs of chocolate a year; Mercy, no way. Imagine the spare tire around my mid-drift begs to pardon. Haha.
Happy New Year
