ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Johnny Appleseed Day which is a National holiday that commemorates his birthday. This holiday is also celebrated on March 11th which marks the approximate date of his death.
John Chapmean, known as Johnny Appleseed was an American nurseryman traveling west. Thoughout his journey he planted apple seeds , creating apple trees in many states such as Pennysylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illlinois, and West Virginial Johnny Appleseed is also known for his generosity, love for animals and religion, and his preaching.
Honor this American Legend by enjoying an apple, a caramel apple, applesauce, or apple cider. Bake an apple crisp or an apple pie for a delightful dessert. Or even plant your own Apple tree.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Old Proverb
I love apples and always keep them on hand. I use them in my cooking and have them for a snack. An apple is good and good for us too.
The old saying that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, proves to be true. They are very healthy for us to eat.
Today’s pictures are of DD’s family doing some apple picking a while back. It’s apple season in Ohio. We have lots of apple orchards here.
DD had to go apple picking with the class she’s an aide at on the first day of Fall this year and it was wet and raining out that day. She said she came home soaking wet, but the kids all had fun.
Sometimes we just have to make our own sunshine.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday !
The flowers of the apple are perhaps the most beautiful of any trees, so copious and so delicious to both sight and scent.
Henry David Thoreau
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
9564. for apples, good and good for us too

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YO ALL!
Every thought is a seed. If you plant crab apples, don’t count on harvesting Golden Delicious.

It's true, an apple day will help to keep the doctor away !
I guess that I thought it was a fairy tale and not a real person so nice to know and cute pictures.
Great captures of what had to have been a FUN day!
Tom LOVES applesauce, so before heading to the hospital I'm going to stick a couple little containers in my bag.
PS - My mother always used to recite, "An apple a day will keep the doctor away." Given our medical challenges this year, now I'm wondering if she wasn't right -- and I need to start eating them. LOL.
