ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Cheese Pizza Day which celebrates Pizza that is good for a snack, lunch or dinner.
Americans eat approximately 350 slices of pizza per second. Whether you prefer thin curst, deep dish, or regular style, today is a day to enjoy one of the most popular meals in the country.
In the 1800’s, most Italians thought of pizza as a peasant meal. That changed when a baker named Raffaela Esposito created a margarita pizza for visiting royalty. The king and queen were impressed by the colors of the Italian Flag represented by the pizza’s white mozzarella cheese, red tomato sauce, and green basil. Pizza became fashionable overnight and was soon a staple in restaurants all across the country.
Today there are hundreds of different pizza types and toppings, but they all originated with the classic cheese pizza . To celebrate order one from your favorite Pizza place or make your own for dinner tonight. Enjoy !
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Pizza is not on my menu for dinner tonight but I have some frozen ones I can pop in the oven for lunch today, so I’ll be celebating.
It’s the middle of Labor Day weekend and most are thinking about picnics and cookouts outdoors. The great thing is we still have one more day to enjoy of this holiday weekend. It’s the last chance many will have off work until the Thanksgivng holiday comes along. We have to take advantage of the time off we get when we have it.
What grandchildren left that haven’t already gone back to school, will be doing so after the weekend is over. I know our local schools will begin again on Tuesday. It used to be the norm for all to go back after Labor Day weekend but that has definitely changed and it all depends on the school district you happen to live in.
So it will be back to work and back to school after this weekend, relax and enjoy it while you can.
.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
9501 for pizza, quick and good to eat
9502.for a long holiday weekend
9503. for a day to relax and enjoy
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Relax and enjoy your Sunday !
Darn interesting back story about the original pizza! While growing up, the only pizza we had came in a box -- Chef Boyardee. Tasted dreadful, as I recall, but we still ate it because it was 'new and exciting.' LOL.
