ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Oh, the weather outside is frightful...let it snow, let it snow...
This DIL's birthday is a long distance one but I hope to see her this coming weekend. Meanwhile I’m sending birthday wishes for a terrifically fantastic day !
Lots of snow came down here overnight and will continue today through Wednesday they say. Everything is now snow covered and white. The pictures today are from yesterday evening as our winter storm was just beginning. They closed schools due to the hazardous road conditions. Thankfully I don’t have to go out anywhere until the roads clear. I’m all stocked up and cozy and comfy here at home. I had planned to go do a little clean up at the old house today, but that will have to wait at least one more day.
Meanwhile there is plenty to do here. It took a long time to pack it all up and it will take a long time to unpack it all.
Take care, stay safe and keep warm everyone !
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s Potato Chip Day!
This is one holiday you may take with a pinch of salt! Potato chips contain only 3 ingredients: potatoes, oil, salt.
Pot of Gold Potato Chips
These are the perfect snack for those who want something sweet, salty and dipped in dark chocolate in celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day.
1 bag of Potato Chips
1 package of chocolate almond bark
sprinkles
Lay out a piece of wax paper.
Melt the chocolate almond bark according to the package instructions.
Dip one end of each Potato Chip into the chocolate and place on the wax paper.
Add the sprinkles and let them dry!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.
Anne Bradstreet
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4726. for DDIL#6, it’s her birthday today !
4727. for snow plows and road crews
4728. for a warm and cozy home
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
You can’t see Canada across Lake Erie, but you know it’s there. It’s the same with spring. You have to have faith, especially in Cleveland.
Paul Fleischman
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Happy birthday to DDIL#6! Wow with the weather! I did hear it was a big storm moving in! Glad you don't have to be out in it. Stay warm!
Betty
I love chocolate covered potato chips. I had never heard of them until a resident I cared for in the nursing home gave me a box of them for Christmas one year. She had moved to Kansas from Florida. They were a big thing in Florida. I feel in love! I might have to make some someday! We are celebrating Pi Day at my house!!
Oh, you've a car port ... how fortunate!
Crazy to imagine all that snow and COLD weather, and we're sitting over here at 93 degrees and the air conditioner going.
I'd never heard of chips and chocolate, but my DH would be over the moon!
