ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

19 DAYS UNTIL SPRING
Sunrise: 7:00 am
Sunset: 6:20 pm
Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today, is Old Stuff Day, in recognition of the all too common response when we ask, ‘What’s New? We often hear, 'Nothing really, same old stuff’. It is suggestive of a boring time period, or a boring life style, how sad.
Old Stuff Day is not a day to do the same old stuff. Rather, it's a time to recognize the boring nature of your daily routine, and make some exciting changes. Find new and different activities, projects, and hobbies. Attend an event. Do something, anything, different. You will be glad that you did!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I make the most of all that comes,
And the least of all that goes.
Sara Teasdale
For me nothing is boring and it’s certainly not the 'same old stuff' here at my house. Slowly but surely everything is being packed and ready to move. At this point it could be as soon as next week. No definite date yet.
Our weather roller coaster finds us colder once again. Yesterday we were in the 60’s but today we’re to be in the 30’s. There is a slight dusting of snow on the ground this morning. On the bright side we’ll be back up in the 50’s come Sunday. What a ride we are having this year. It’s not the ‘same old stuff’ either.
Even when things have been calmer, I really don’t ever remember a boring day in my life.
The pictures today are of a morning sunrise taken this past fall. You can see a few of the leaves remaining on the trees. They may be old stuff, but certainly not a boring sight for sure.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
Today is Banana Cream Pie Day. To make a good banana cream pie, you only need a few ingredients like pie crust, milk, cream, egg, banana, sugar. Simply pour your custard mixture into the pie crust and top with whipped cream. You could also add an extra flourish with some powdered chocolate or shredded toffee.
Easy Banana Cream Pie
1 graham cracker or cookie crumb crust
1 c. water with 1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 bananas
1 sm. pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
1 1/2 cup milk
8 oz. sour cream
3 oz. cream cheese
1 small pkg. Cool Whip
Slice bananas into lemon water, coat well and then drain.
Mix together milk, sour cream, and pudding mix. Gently fold bananas into pudding mixture. Put bananas and pudding in crumb crust.
Beat cream cheese till smooth, mix into Cool Whip and put of pudding mix. Chill.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
When you look at life through the eyes of gratitude, the world becomes a magical and amazing place.
Jennifer Gayle
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
4705. for busy days that are never boring
4706. for bananas, always good especially in a pie
4707. for each new day as it comes
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY

A bit of love from someone dear…

Such beautiful sunrises! It is nice to have the same old stuff, familiarity is good, but nice to mix it up at times with new things that come along.

19 days until Spring!! I can't believe it! I think I will just keep doing the 'same old stuff' today! Have a great Thursday!!
How I'd love a slice of that pie right now!
I can sure identify with the 'same old stuff' mindset. In lots of ways, DH and I are really predictable. SMH, I just mentioned to him the other day how my car could probably drive itself to work ... as it has the same roads for near 15 years. Well, the Universe must have been eavesdropping because this morning's normal 45 minute commute took twice that! Several main arteries were closed due to flooding, and I was forced to discover all new-to-me roads.
