IT’S FRIDAY !!
Wow! I thought this day would never get here. This cold weather has me bogged down for sure and I just want to be home in my warm jammies and relax.
This weekend is our family Christmas celebration. Everyone will be here except for DS#2 and his family and DS#4 and his family. We are going to miss them much for sure!
Saturday about noon we’ll begin to gather at DS#5’s house and the celebration will probably go on until the wee hours. I won’t be in my jammies but I will be about as happy as a mom can be with all my family around.
The weather forecast for tomorrow is looking pretty good for our travelers; we just have to get through today. They are predicting snow, freezing rain and sleet. The roads could be treacherous this morning they say.
Take good care all !
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

Today is National Build a Snowman Day
Today is E-Mail Santa Claus Just in Case He Didn't Get Your Letter Day
Look for an Evergreen Day is today. To many people, only a fresh cut real tree will do for Christmas. The scent of fresh pine helps to capture the feel of the holidays. Nothing looks more real than a real tree, each one with its own character and appearance.
There is no shortage of types of Christmas trees. Generally classified as firs, spruces, and pines, the most popular varieties have changed over the years. Personal preference will determine whether you select a short needle, or long needled tree.
If you haven't selected a tree yet, it is certainly getting late. As we researched this special day, we questioned the timing. By the 19th of December, most people have found and put up their Christmas tree. So if you are still treeless, this special day could be the day to do so.
1843: A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens, was first published in England
1918 - Robert Ripley began his Believe It or Not column in The New York Globe

TODAY’S SMILE
It was the night before Christmas, when all thru the abodeonly one creature was stirring, and she was cleaning the commode. The children were finally sleeping, all snug in their beds, while visions of games and dolls, flipped through their heads.
The dad was snoring in front of the TV,with a half constructed bicycle on his knee.So only the mom heard the reindeer hooves clatter, which made her sigh, "Now what's the matter?"
With toilet bowl brush still clutched in her hand, she descended the stairs, and saw the old man. He was covered with ashes and soot, which fell with a shrug.Oh great," muttered the mom, "Now I have to clean the rug."
"Ho ho ho!" cried Santa, "I'm glad you're awake.""Your gift was especially difficult to make.""Thanks, Santa, but all I want is some time alone.""Exactly!" he chuckled, "I've made you a clone."
"A clone?" she asked, "What good is that?Run along, Santa, I've no time for chit chat.
The mother's twin. Same hair, same eyes, same double chin. "She'll cook, she'll dust, "she'll mop every mess.
You'll relax, take it easy, watch The Young & the Restless."
"Fantastic!" the mom cheered."My dream come true! "I'll shop. I'll read.,
I'll sleep a whole night through!"
From the room above, the youngest began to fret."Mommy?! I scared... and I 'm wet."The clone replied, "I'm coming, sweetheart.""Hey," the mom smiled, "She knows her part."
The clone changed the small one, and hummed a tune,as she bundled the child, in a blanket cocoon."You the best mommy ever. " I really love you."The clone smiled and sighed, "I love you, too."
The mom frowned and said, "Sorry, Santa, no deal. "That's my child's love, she's trying to steal."Smiling wisely Santa said, "To me it is clear, "Only one loving mother, is needed here."
The mom kissed her child, and tucked her into bed."Thank you, Santa, " for clearing my head.I sometimes forget, it won't be very long, when they'll be too old, for my cradle song."
The clock on the mantle began to chime.
Santa whispered to the clone, "It works every time."With the clone by his side Santa said, "Goodnight.
Merry Christmas, Mom, You'll be all right

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Joseph, son of David, have no fear about taking Mary as your wife. It is by the Holy Spirit that she has conceived this Child.
Matthew 1:20
In one week, we will celebrate the first day of the Christmas season. (We are now in the season of Advent) Have you prepared the way of the Lord? (Lk 3:4) Do you have faith strong enough to move mountains (Mt 17:20) so as to fill in the valleys, make the crooked straight, and the rough smooth? (Lk 3:5) All, including Christmas, "depends on faith" (Rm 4:16). But when Christ comes this Christmas and at the end of the world, "will He find any faith on the earth?" (Lk 18:8)
To grow strong in faith, we must recognize the cloud of witnesses surrounding us (Heb 12:1). Recognize especially Joseph's presence. He made one of the greatest acts of faith in history. He believed the unimaginable — that Mary had conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit (Mt 1:20).Joseph was the superman of faith. Recognize Joseph, who will direct you to Jesus, Who will gift you with deep faith.
One Bread, One Body – The Superman of Faith
