IT’S MONDAY !!
I hope you all had a good weekend. I had a restful Sunday as I went to church, came home had lunch and went to church again for an Advent Program which was very nice. They even had snack foods and door prizes. I saw some people there that I hadn’t seen in a very long time too. So my day of R & R was just that for sure.
I talked to DS#1 last evening and he let me know that and he’s going to a specialist this week because for sometime now he has had dizzy spells and they thought it was like an ear infection of some sort but it’s not any better so he’ll see the specialist on Tuesday to find out if they can see what’s wrong. Please join me in praying for him and of course DS#3 and his family remain in my prayers too.
We had a really cold night of about 17 degrees but for a couple days now we’ll warm up a bit they say until about Thursday then we’ll have temps only in the 20’s.
Just try to keep in mind that this too shall pass and spring will come again!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S SMILE
The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert.
After they got their tent set up, they fell sound asleep. Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, "Kemo Sabi, look toward sky -- what you see?"
The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars.""What that tell you?" asked Tonto.
The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute, then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it tells me Saturn is in Leo. Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Theologically, it's evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow.
What's it tell you, Tonto?"
Tonto is silent for a moment, then says, "Kemo Sabi, you have many words and little insight. Someone has stolen tent!
EACH DAY IN DECEMBER
Dec. 8:A Storybook Christmas:
Each year, buy a new Christmas storybook for the family to read together for the remaining days until Christmas. Some favorites are "The Other Wise Man" and "A Cup of Christmas Tea". If your children are old enough, allow them to be a special part of this family time by designating certain nights for them to take turns as the reader
There are lots of good Christmas books out there for adults too !
I have several and love reading them at Christmas.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Behold, I am sending my messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way.
A voice of one crying out in the desert: Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths
Mark 1:2-3
The following reflection is written by Fr.Flor McCarthy
The voice of John the Baptist was a lonely voice
which many of his contemporaries ignored.
There are many lonely voices in our world.
Somewhere at this moment a child is crying,
crying for love or maybe for some bread.
Somewhere a young person is crying,
crying for a listening ear or an understanding heart.
Somewhere an old person is crying,
crying for a visit or a word from their children.
There are a thousand unheard cries in our world,
coming from the victims of injustice and neglect.
Lord, help us to listen to these voices.
Above all, help us to listen to your voice,
whispering to us in the wilderness of our hearts,
telling us that we are loved by you,
and that we are to love one another.
