TODAY'S THOUGHT

of a truly merry Christmas

TODAY’S QUOTE
Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things only hoped for
Epicurus
IT’S WEDNESDAY !!
I have a couple of good things to report to you today.
First DS#1 found out he had vertigo. It seems there is a procedure to correct this and he had it, now he is to remain upright for 48 hours, no laying down and it should be cured. That is good news considering it could have many other things that might have been harder to cure. Thank the good Lord and thank you all for praying with me.
The second good news item is that I went on line to our Campground Website yesterday and they had their calendar posted for next year. The official opening day for camping is April 3rd. That is 15 days earlier than I’d originally thought so now I have 15 less days in my countdown. I suppose opening day will probably depend on the weather … but I’ll be hopeful that I’ll be camping again that weekend.
We had rain all day yesterday, overnight and this morning it’s to change back to snow. These dark dreary days are getting to me, but I do not have to prop my eyelids open with tooth picks yet, so I guess there is some hope for me.
Keep warm and take good care all!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Just One Minute
When you are depressed, angry, sad,
disillusioned, grieving, joyful, tempted,
estranged, or in any other state of mind and
heart, include God for just a minute. When you
include God for just a minute, that minute is a
little window into the infinite love God has for you.
When you include God for just a minute, that
minute becomes the door through which
Christ will walk to sit down next to you so
He can give you peace, joy, comfort, and
the incredible power of His uplifting love.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love.
Come, Lord Jesus, come
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me,
and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY IS…HUMAN RIGHTS DAY
Human Rights Day, created by the United Nations, promotes awareness of the importance of Human Rights issues around the world. On this daty in 1948, the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Each year, the United Nations, establishes a new theme for the year. In 2006, the theme is fighting poverty.
Human rights is something we easily take for granted in the United States. Elsewhere, freedom and basic human rights are not a given.
Participate in this day by learning more about human rights issues around the globe. Offer your time and money in support of a human rights issue that is important to you

TODAY’S SMILE
Joan was telling her three boys the story of the Nativity and how the Wise Men brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh for the infant Jesus.Clearly giving it a lot of thought, her six-year-old observed,
Mom, a Wise Woman would have brought diapers
Mirth is God's medicine. Everybody ought to bathe in it.
Henry Ward Beecher
Laughter is essential to our equilibrium, to our well-being, to our aliveness. If we're not well, laughter helps us get well; if we are well, laughter helps us stay that way.Scientific studies have shown that laughter has a curative effect on the body, the mind and the emotions. So, if you like laughter, consider it sound medical advice to indulge in it as often as you can. If you don't like laughter, then take your medicine - laugh anyway.Use whatever makes you laugh - movies, sitcoms, records, books, New Yorker cartoons, jokes, and friends. Give yourself permission to laugh - long and loud and out loud - whenever anything strikes you as funny. The people around you may think you're strange, but sooner or later they'll join in even if they don't know what you're laughing about. Some diseases may be contagious,
but none is as contagious as the cure. . . laughter.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
What is faith?
Faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen
Hebrews 11:1
Do not look forward to what may happen tomorrow. The same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow, and every day. Either he will shield you from suffering, or he will give you unfailing strength to bear it. Be at peace, then. Put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.
TODAY’S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER’S ALMANAC
