ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
DECEMBER 5th, 2008
TODAY'S THOUGHT
Joy is prayer—Joy is strength—Joy is love—
Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.
Mother Teresa
TODAY’S ACTION
Remember that remarkable achievements begin as thoughts
TODAY’S QUOTE
Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity. The plaque on the wall says, "Life is a do-it-yourself project." Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today

IT’S FRIDAY !!
I’m sipping the good hot coffee this morning. It sure does taste extra good when it is so very cold outside. I finally finished off the ‘Carmel Drizzle’ coffee (it was the 2nd bag of that as it was so good) and opened a new one yesterday morning. The flavor of the month is now Nutcracker Sweet. The description on the bag says Vanilla, Hazelnut, Chestnut and warm Cinnamon flavored. I never really knew what a Chestnut tasted like, but I do recognize the other flavors in my cup today.
Mmmmm….good!
Our promised snow did not happen yesterday, but we have more chances coming our way all weekend. It is just bitterly cold out. I think the low for the night was 21 degrees.
As always I’ll put the layers on and keep warm.
Take good care all !
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Saint Theresa's Prayer May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be .
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith..
May you use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom
to sing, dance, praise and love.
It is there for each and every one of us.
In case you are not aware, Saint Theresa is known as the Saint of the Little Ways, meaning she believed in doing the little things in life well and with great love...
She is represented by roses
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your love.
Come, Lord Jesus, come
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me,
and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY IS… PLAY HOOKY DAY
This is the day when people are supposed to play hooky from work and go shopping. All I can say is... WHY NOT!
(sadly I’ll go to work as usual)
EACH DAY OF DECEMBER
Dec. 5 - A Tree of Their Own:
Let the children choose and decorate their own tree for their playroom or bedroom. Encourage them to be creative, and let them know that anything goes! And if you are like me with no children at home do a special tree in different rooms of the house. Little trees in other rooms of the house are fun to do using different colors or themes.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Anyone who hears My words and puts them into practice is like the wise man who built his house on rock.
Matthew 7:24
Jesus, being a carpenter, thinks in terms of building. For instance, He thinks that life is like building a house. Our lives must be founded on Him, the Rock-Foundation
This Advent is also like building a house, the house of Christmas. Christmas will not just appear twenty days from now; it must be built. The kind of foundation we build our lives upon will determine whether we can survive the storms that are sure to come. Builders usually lay their foundations when the weather and soil conditions are at their best. It takes foresight to know how a foundation will stand up against adverse conditions
If we establish and strengthen our foundation on the Lord during these Advent and Christmas seasons, we will spend this year building an "edifice of spirit" (1 Pt 2:5) for God's glory. Otherwise, our faith will erode and gradually be undermined during this new year. We must start the year with a solid Advent and strong Christmas.
Jesus calls us to build our lives on His lasting presence.

Psalm 37:4
May there be a miracle in YOUR life today
and may you have the EYES to SEE it!
I Love You All !!!
Be Blessed !!!
