IT’S WEDNESDAY !!
Good News!!! I got the garage door opener to work. Did you know that some openers have a feature on them that when you push a button it won’t allow any openers to work??? I didn’t. I guess its good for when you go away and don’t want anyone to accidently open your garage door. Well, my boss told me about the button so when I got home from work I tried it and it worked. Now everything is operational again.
Little did I know that I even had this little gem on my garage door opener. Today I’m thankful for my boss. No more hassles with the garage door.
Take good care all !
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !

TODAY’S TRIVIA
Today is Wright Brothers Day. They made their first flights on December 17, 1903, at Kitty Hawk, N.C. Orville flew an experimental plane, the Wright Flyer, 120 feet in 12 seconds; Wilbur flew 852 feet in 59 seconds. They made two other short flights with the Flyer before an ocean gust lifted and badly damaged the plane
Today is Clean Air Day, marking the 1967 passage of the U.S. Clean Air Act, a sweeping set of laws to protect the nation from air pollution
Today is National Maple Syrup Day
National Maple Syrup Day provides us with the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate this delicious American treat. This sweet and unique flavor originated in America. Native American Indians were the first to harvest and boil the sap of the maple tree into a thick syrup.
Watching or participating in a maple sap harvest, or demonstration, is a fun late winter event. They are held in February-March, when the sap is flowing. It is educational for the kids, too. During field demonstrations, some of the sap is boiled down into syrup. Best of all, free samples are often giving, poured over a pancake or vanilla ice cream.
Did you know? Sap of the maple tree, the same sap used to make maple syrup, makes a refreshing drink. Just put it in the refrigerator and pour a drink whenever you want. Or, have a drink as you harvest the sap from the tree!
How do you participate in National Maple Syrup Day? Pour real maple syrup onto your pancakes or waffles. Or, for an evening treat, pour warm maple syrup onto vanilla ice cream.

EACH DAY OF DECEMBER
Dec. 17 - Don't Open Until Christmas:
A couple of days before Christmas, or better yet the night before, barricade the door to the room which contains the Christmas tree with large sheets of gift wrap. When the whole family has assembled to open gifts on Christmas morning or eve, the kids may run through the paper to see the brightly lit tree and all the giftsTODAY’S SMILE
I heard a story on the radio of a woman who was out Christmas shopping with her two children. After many hours of looking at row after row of toys and everything else imaginable. And after hours of hearing both her children asking for everything they saw on those many shelves, she finally made it to the elevator with her two kids.
She was feeling what so many of us feel during the holiday season time of the year. Overwhelming pressure to go to every party, every housewarming, taste all the holiday food and treats, getting that perfect gift for every single person on our shopping list, making sure we don't forget anyone on our card list, and the pressure of making sure we respond to everyone who sent us a card.
Finally the elevator doors opened and there was already a crowd in the car. She pushed her way into the car and dragged her two kids in with her and all the bags of stuff. When the doors closed she couldn't take it anymore and stated: "Whoever started this whole Christmas thing should be found, strung up and shot."
From the back of the car everyone heard a quiet calm voice respond: "Don't worry we already crucified him."For the rest of the trip down the elevator it was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.
Don't forget this year to keep the One who started this whole Christmas thing in your every thought, deed, purchase, and word. If we all did it, just think of how different this whole world would be.

TODAY’S REFLECTION
A family record of Jesus Christ...
Matthew 1:1
Wait! Don't skip the genealogy! Because we love the Lord, we can't wait to learn more about Him. Here's a few things God reveals about Himself in St. Matthew's genealogy:
Jesus Christ is a human being, God made man.
Jesus is God, the Messiah, born of a virgin (Mt 1:16, 18).
Family comes first — these are the first verses of the New Testament, and God can't wait to introduce His family.
God works through people — lots of them.
God loves families. Jesus lived in one for thirty years.
Some family members are extraordinary (e.g. Mary, Joseph, David); others are faithful (e.g. Ruth, Josiah); some are nondescript (e.g. Eliud, Azor); others are despicable (e.g. Manasseh, Rehoboam). Jesus considers them all His family. God's plan was accomplished through each one.
Some, like Ruth and Rahab, were outsiders but were welcomed into God's family for their loving faithfulness.
God is pro-life. He loves fathers, mothers, and children.
God has a place in His plan for every baby, including those born of prostitution (Perez — Mt 1:3; Gn 38:1-30), injustice (Solomon — Mt 1:6; 2 Sm 11:1-27), and mixed marriages (Obed — Mt 1:5; Ru 4:5ff).
God is patient. His plan may take a long time to unfold.
God is not ashamed to be called their God (Heb 11:16) and Jesus is not ashamed of His family. He loves them.
Beloved, we are God's children now (1 Jn 3:2). Let us love our brothers and sisters in Christ.
