ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 14TH, 2021
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is VALENTINES Day which is a day to surprise your loved ones with thoughtful cards, homemade chocolate treats or flower arrangements. You can also personalize e cards for everyone you love.
For centuries people have celebrated February as the month of romance. In Ancient Rome, for example, a bachelor would pick the name of a young woman out of a hat doing the festival of Lupercalia. He would be paired with his chosen woman for the year and softened ended up marrying her.
The tradition of sending romantic greetings on the feast day of St. Valentine emerged during the Middle Ages. St Valentine was a Roman purest who secretly performed marriages for young lovers forbidden to wed. February 14th was a celebration of the day the birds began to pair. Today, Valentines Day is popular occasion for romantic dinners, gift exchanges, and weekend getaways.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk though my garden forever.
Alfred Tennyson
I didn’t get any Valentine cards to send out today so consider this newsletter my card to all of you. My friends and family are my Valentines. You are all so loved! Never a day goes by but that you aren’t in my thoughts and prayers.
I want you all to know that I love you and appreciate you always!
It’s another bitter cold day here. They say we should have a high of 23 degrees and we could see a little sunshine this morning but it’s to cloud up this afternoon and tomorrow we could have snow. It’s a good thing tomorrow is Presidents Day and the kids will be off school and won’t have to go out.
As usual I don’t have to go out and can attend church services on line once again. I expect it will be another quiet day here spent with a good book. I have the new Nora Roberts book . Awakening, on the bookshelf waiting to be read.
I hope you all have af a RELAXING day !

Hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day ! xoxo
What a neat legend! I don't think I know of any couples who still 'celebrate' Valentine's Day. Even my married granddaughter -- the former drama queen -- has become so pragmatic it makes me LOL.
Ah, but where would we be without our memories!
I value and appreciate YOU, Ma. Happy 💜 Day!
A big Happy Valentine's Day to you too. I hope you had a wonderful day. Cuddling up with a good book sounds perfect to me right now :)
