ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH, 2021
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Super Bowl Sunday which is the biggest football game of the year. The Super Bowl is the most watched television broadcast, drawing more than 160 million viewers. That’s roughly half of the American population. As a result it also garners the highest advertising prices in the industry.
Beyond the game itself, the Super Bowl is famous for its commercials, its halftime show, and its ability to bring people together together to celebrate. People consume 14, 500 tons of chips and 8 million pounds of guacamole on Super Bowl Sunday. In fact it is one of the biggest food consumption holidays, second only in Thanksgiving.
This year, gather virtually with friends and family and root for your team.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Football is like life it requires perseverance, self denial, hard work, sacrifice, dedication and respect for authority.
Vince Lombardi
Yes this is definitely a time to gather virtually unless you are lucky enough to be living with some people to celebrate with. I know I wouldn’t feel safe going out in a crowd like people packed into a stadium watching football. Thankfully it will be televised.
It’ll be another quiet day spent alone here at my house and I have no plans to go out anywhere. I have all I need right here. I have plenty of food on hand. I’ve leftover stew to heat up and plenty of chips and quacamole to snack on if I want.
As usual, I’m watching church services on line, It’s definitely too cold to go out, but I must remember to at least start the car up and let it run for a while. I don’t want my battery to go dead sitting outside in the cold. We were supposed to be 10 degrees overnight with a high of 18 degrees today.
Remember if you have animals outside, to brig them in while to warm up too. I know my own grand dogs spend their days inside keeping warm and don’t stay outisde for very long at all. Same as me, I stay in and keep warm and cozy too. I have a good beach book to warm me up today, the beach is always my favorite place to go and since it’s not beach weather I’ll read a book about one.
I don’t have any Super Bowl pictures to share with you but I do have plenty of Valentines Day ones to share so that is what you are seeing today.
I hope you all have af a RELAXING Sunday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
In life, as in football, you won’t go far unless you know where the goalposts are.

I hope you can all have a relaxing Sunday. Rest, renew and refresh!
Have a relaxing day Ma and enjoy the Super Bowl this evening!
That's a great Dave Ramsey quote!
Darn. Tom just asked me if I needed anything at the store, and I forgot to say avocado. Naturally, he left his cell phone home. *sigh*
I know you enjoy good news stories, Ma. Did you happen to catch CBS This Morning (yesterday)? They were profiling a player for Kansas City who also happens to be a medical doctor. A starting linebacker(!) instead of playing this season, he decided to go home and treat COVID patients. Aren't there some amazing people out there?! Enjoy the game!
