ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 26TH, 2021
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!

Today is Tell a Fairy Tale Day which all about letting your imagination roam free. Read fairy tales to your children or just read them for fun.
There are countless stories to choose from: Little Red Riding Hood, Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel and Gretel, and the Princess and the Pea are all whimsical fairy tales that have entertained children and adults for many years.
A fairy tale is traditionally a short story with mythical and fantastic characters such as elves, fairies, gnomes, and more. These stories are meant to enchant readers.
Celebrate today and gather virtually with friends or family and tell about your favorite tales together. Spark kids creativity and encourage them to write one of their own.
Today is also National Pastachio Day
If you can’’t see the bright side, polhish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Nobody is too old for fairy tales.
Author Unknown.
I love fairy tales because they have happy endings. Living happily ever after is my aim.
Today is the day I’m to get my 2nd dose of the vaccine, but I seem to have lost my certificate which they told us we should bring back with us. I’m hoping this doesn’t prevent me from the dose. I’m going to show up for my appointment which isn’t until 4:30 today and so we shall see…
Today is also my day to cook and on the menu is
Sesame Cilantro Shrimp
Makes 4 servings
1 lb uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp.plus 1/2 cup sesame salad dressing , divided
Lime wedges
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
In a large nonstick skillet, heat 1 tablespoon dressing over medium heat. Add shrimp cook and stir 1 minute.
Stir in remaining dressing, cook uncovered until shrimp turns pink. To serve squeeze lime juice over top and sprinkle with cilantro if desired, serve with brown rice.
I didn’t have sesame dressing so I made my own.
Sesame dressing
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp.sesame oil
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 c. olive oil
1 tbsp. sugar
Place ingredients in a jar and shake well until sugar is dissolved. Keep for up to 3 weeks in the refrigerator
The pictures today are of fairies I’ve seen at the garden center. They are very popular decorations for the garden and many people like to make fairy gardens for their outdoor spaces.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday

they may ever praise you for your loving care.

I believe in fairy tales and happily ever afters. They start one day at a time.
Louis Dean and I were reading an essay by Laura Ingalls Wilder about fairies the other day.
I love how you caount down the days to the next season!
I'm late getting here today but sure hope you were able to get your second dose and I hope side effects are mild.
I don't recall there being fairies, but I remember begging my father to come sit by my bedside and tell me a "Make-up story."
I sure hope that lost certificate didn't stop you from getting your second vaccine!
