Today is Peppermint Patty Day which honors a tasty confection made with rich creamy peppermint filling covered in semisweet chocolate. The York Cone Company which was based in Pennsyvanila and originally produced ice cream cones, invented the York Peppermint Patties in 1940. Unlike the existing chocolate covered peppermint candies, York’s product was firm and crisp. It soon became the premier candy of its kind.
Pepermint patties also gained noriety after the debut of Peanuts, Charles M. Schultz’s famous comic strip, 1966. One of the main character was Patricia, Peppermint Patty, Reinhardt.
Today celebrate and enjoy a minty and refreshing dark chocolate patty!

Peppermind Patties are tasty and delicious, perfect for this time of year. The dry air tends to dry us out also, so it’s good to have something refreshing to treat ourselves with.
We got over the hump of the week and I’m still working away in the bathroom. I wasn’t very good at getting things done, and probably procrastinated a bit. But for today I’m continuing on.
Tomorrow will be my day to get it all done. Finishing up the week on a positive note is my aim.

My youngest son ruined peppermint patties for me, but I won't tell you why because it might ruin them for you for no reason too lol. Good luck getting the bathroom finished up, there's still plenty of time :)
I never knew Peppermint Patty had a last name! 🙂 That was always what I chose from the movie theater's concession stand.
