Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day which celebrates the 'PB and J' sandwich. Its the favorite lunchtime sandwich of American kids, and many adults, too. Some kids practically live on Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Man cannot live by bread alone; he must have peanut butter.
James A. Garfield
I don’t think you can ever get too old to enjoy a peanut butter sandwich. They are good and good for you too.
I have one at least once a week here at my house and still enjoy it!
Whether you eat it as a comfort food, or serve it to your children for lunch, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches make a healthy meal choice. Did you know that the average American consumes 1,500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches by the age of 18? The combination of sweet jelly and salty peanut butter has been a staple in school lunchboxes for over fifty years.
This is peanut butter and jelly with a twist. The kids will thank you for them.
Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
2 teaspoons butter
2 slices white bread
1 teaspoon peanut butter
2 teaspoons any flavor fruit jelly
Heat griddle or skillet to 350 degrees F.
Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread. Spread peanut butter on unbuttered side of one slice of bread, and jelly on the other. Place one slice, buttered side down on the griddle. Top with other slice, so that peanut butter and jelly are in the middle. Cook for 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown, and heated through.
Simple and easy and for me grilling any sandwich seems to make it better.
Today we’ll be traveling over to DS#6’s house for our family Easter feast. Please join me in praying for safe travels for all.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday !

our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Never pet a dog with a sandwich in your hand.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Have fun with your family, Ma! Hope the weather is nice for an Easter egg hunt outside :)
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are so delicious; never thought of grilling one though; will have to try it soon :)
betty
I've put PB&J in an omelet before, but never thought about grilling! There's something so comforting about peanut butter/jelly!
I hope your family Easter gathering is/was terrific!
Peanut Butter is my favourite thing Pam, and sometimes (even though I shouldn't) I treat myself to some PB and J! (And yes I grill them too! Soooo good!) I hope you have a great time with your family. God bless, love and hugs. xoxo
